Meghan Markle’s mom, Doria Ragland, has been spotted with a new tattoo, which looks like it could be in honor of the Duchess, and her granddaughter, Lilibet.

Doria, who recently celebrated her 66th birthday, welcomed her daughter, Meghan Markle, in 1981, and she remains her only child. The two have always had a strong bond, which shows through Doria’s latest inking.

Doria Ragland shows off flower tattoo with ‘special meaning’

The 66-year-old’s flower tattoo, which goes all the way along her forearm, was first spotted in 2022 when she went out to walk the dogs in LA.

The yoga instructor was recently spotted outside at Gagosian’s art gallery in Beverly Hills, as her red jumpsuit showed off the floral inking, which could have a sentimental meaning.

When Meghan was young, her mother gave her the nickname ‘Flower’, and it seems like the childhood nickname has stuck until this day.

Although it is not entirely clear which flowers are on the 66-year-old’s arm, it is thought one of them could be a lily, in honor of her granddaughter, Lilibet.

In an episode of her podcast Archetypes with Hollywood actress, Michaela J Rodriguez, the Duchess revealed that to this day, her mom still calls her the cute nickname, however, Meg still loves it.

“I’ll be a 41-year-old flower, that’s fine,” she joked.

Doria ‘felt unsafe’ during the early stages of Meghan and Harry’s relationship

Doria featured in Meghan Markle and Price Harry‘s 2022 Netflix documentary Harry & Meghan, where she opened up about the early stages of her daughter’s relationship with the Prince.

The 66-year-old recalled the first time Meghan informed her of the relationship, to which she whispered, “Oh my God.”

“It was very sort of, ‘Oh my God, nobody can know,'” she added. Doria was very fond of her soon-to-be royal son-in-law from the first meeting, calling him “handsome” with “great manners”.

However, it was after the relationship became public in 2017, that the problems started for Doria, who said she “felt unsafe a lot” after being “stalked by the paparazzi”.

“I felt unsafe a lot. I can’t just go walk my dogs. I can’t just go to work. There was always someone there waiting for me,” she revealed.
