Meghan and Harry airing the royal family’s dirty laundry has been part of their new brand, experts have claimed. Ever since they left the palace in 2020, they have released a memoir, a bombshell tell-all interview and a Netflix docuseries. Now, it’s said Kate Middleton‘s uncle is set to come forward to address the allegations from Meghan and Harry. It’s believed Prince Harry‘s memoir Spare caused a ripple in the growing tensions within The Firm.

The Duke of Sussex released his autobiography at the beginning of the year. It became one of the best-selling non-fictional titles ever, even beating his celebrity friend and former president Barack Obama.
But it was the accusations within the pages that have stirred up a fuss in the royal palace, it’s been claimed.
Gary Goldsmith, Kate Middleton’s uncle, is vowing to ‘set the record straight’ with allegations from the book, a source has said. Gary, who is the younger brother of Kate’s mom Carole, wants to write his own “comeback book”.
It’s been said he wants to use the chance to give his family a voice and share family details that could trump the Sussexes, Meghan Markle and Harry.

During their sit-down tell-all with Oprah Winfrey in 2021, Meghan said the princess made her ‘cry’ during an argument over bridesmaid dresses. Reports leading up to this point claimed Kate made Meghan cry. But the Duchess was clear, insinuating that it was the other way around.
In their docuseries, which aired on Netflix the following December, Meghan brought something else up. She claimed Kate and William were not massive huggers and personable, where she was.
Other allegations over treatment from the royal family were also brought up over the past three years.
‘William couldn’t comment’
A source told OK! Magazine Prince William has remained tight-lipped as The Firm don’t respond to such stories.
The insider said: “When Harry was originally compiling his book, his publisher was confident William wouldn’t comment because it wouldn’t be fitting for a future King to do so.
“Harry wouldn’t have anticipated such a comeback from Kate’s family. He and Meghan won’t like it one bit and will be dreading the book’s release.”
Kate Middleton’s uncle Gary has spoken out about potentially writing a book before. In 2013, he insisted he wouldn’t include anything that would upset his niece or the future king.
But what the book will include if it ever gets to print is anyone’s guess.
The source added: “Gary has been talking to the press a lot lately and his comments seem to have gone down well with some people, especially his criticism of Harry and Meghan.
“He did originally plan to focus the book on himself and his journey to becoming a millionaire, but he will now add in some private family details.”
It’s believed Carole and Princess Kate would have a chance to read it before it was sent to a publisher.
The insider added: “He won’t want to do anything that will embarrass them, but it could be a good way of putting a Middleton voice out there to set the record straight over some of the things Harry wrote about in Spare.”
