Prince Harry and William’s relationship has been best described by the Duke of Sussex as complicated. The royal himself called his older sibling ‘his beloved brother and arch-nemesis.’ Amid suspicions Meghan became a crucial point in Harry and William’s growing distance, royal experts claim the older royal member had warned the younger before their wedding.

Harry and Prince William have continued to be supportive of each other’s ventures over the years. But fans noticed them growing apart after the Duke of Sussex stepped down from his active royal duties in 2020. After that, Prince Harry revealed shocking details of his conflicts with his brother in his memoir Spare. Experts claim the gap between the two royal brothers is like never before.

Prince William warned Harry about Meghan

Royal author Tom Bower claims in his book Revenge: Meghan, Harry and the War between the Windsors that Harry was warned about his relationship with Meghan Markle by his brother.

Recalling the time when Meghan met Harry’s friends in Las Vegas in 2017, the royal expert claimed most of them were ‘disappointed’ over the former TV star’s ‘princessy’ behavior.

Along with Harry’s friends like Tom Inskip, Bower claims William warned Harry at the beginning of their relationship.

He allegedly said: “Don’t feel like you need to rush this.”

Harry and Meghan’s relationship was quite fast-paced, and William addressed this concern to Harry. “Take as much time as you need to get to know this girl,” the older brother had suggested.

Harry was left ‘furious’ over the remark

Prince William’s advice made Harry ‘furious’ claimed Bower. He added Harry expressed his true feelings about the incident to Meghan later.

While William chose to verbally express his feelings, he was not the only one seemingly apprehensive about their relationship. Tom Bower claims Harry’s friends felt somewhat distant with Meghan as well.

“The close-knit group keenly anticipated meeting Meghan,” he wrote.

“They were quickly disappointed. Not only did she quibble about the food, but behaved ‘princessy’, refusing to engage with Harry’s friends. ‘She wasn’t interested in us, said one mother.

He claimed the feelings were mutual, as “Meghan disliked (Tom) Inskip and his crowd. Their jokes and their attitude towards the world were unacceptable to her.”
