With the release of journalist and royal biographer Omid Scobie’s book Endgame imminent, a Palace insider has claimed Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton are “number one targets.”

The insider has blasted Scobie for the book and its claims after an extract was released that suggests that Prince William ignored calls from his brother on the day that their grandmother died last year.

‘Nothing is off limits’ – including Kate Middleton in Omid Scobie’s new book

The insider told The Mirror that the book, which is written by a friend of Harry and his wife Meghan Markle, is set to reopen wounds for the royal family. They claimed William and Kate Middleton are the number one targets in Omid Scobie’s new book.

“It appears no matter what happens behind closed doors, even in a time of such pain and grief, that where the Royal Family are concerned it will one day emerge,” a source said. “Nothing is off limits, with William and Kate appearing to be this author’s number one target.”

“It only takes a few months for the knives to come out again and the wounds to be opened up.”

Prince William ‘didn’t answer’ Harry’s calls

But Kate Middleton isn’t the only thing mentioned in Omid Scobie’s bombshell new release.

It comes after an extract from the book claimed Harry was in despair trying to get to his grandmother as she died. The Duke also said he found out the news the Queen had passed away from a news alert after flying to be at her bedside.

Grant Harrold, who is a former butler to the royal family, says that it is possible that Queen Elizabeth may have already passed away by the time that Harry got to Balmoral and that William, 41, “ignored” the 39-year-old’s calls. However, he said that we will “never know” what truly went on that day.

It has been claimed, however, that his family tried to reach him whilst he was up in the air but were unsuccessful. He then received a text from Meghan, 42, urging him to call her, but at the same time he got a notification from the BBC who were breaking the news that his grandmother had died.

“It was upsetting to witness,’ said one source while another claimed: “He clearly didn’t want to see his brother,” according to GB News.

The brother’s aren’t talking

Jan Moir, who writes for the Daily Mail has claimed that after the release of Harry’s explosive memoir Spare and his departure alongside his TV actress wife Meghan from the royal family, the two men no longer speak.

She wrote: “The walls between the brothers are now so high that apparently William refuses to even ‘properly talk’ with Harry, while Harry is still moping about, seeking ‘an apology or accountability’.

“From William to him, rather than the other way around.”
