The team behind the popular legal drama Suits reunited for the glitzy event of the Golden Globes last night – but Meghan Markle was nowhere to be seen. When a co-star was asked why the royal was a no-show, they had quite a brutal response, which in this day and age, doesn’t seem possible.

The Golden Globes returned, with some of showbiz’s most talented and hardworking stars taking to the Red Carpet. One unexpected reunion was that of the Suits cast, who joined together to celebrate the first event to kick off Tinsel Town’s award show season. But, there was something amiss – the Duchess of Sussex. Meghan Markle didn’t seem to get the memo for the Golden Globes reunion, like, at all.

Meghan Markle absent from Golden Globes reunion

Fans of Suits, which recently saw new heights on Netflix, were ecstatic to see several members of the cast come together again. They got up on stage to present an award at this year’s event, but all eyes were on who wasn’t there at the Golden Globes microphone – none other than Meghan Markle.

Although, when talking on the Red Carpet about the royal’s vanishing act, co-star Gina Torres addressed the question head on.

However, we’re not sure if it’s really just a brutal insult, in this technological age.

Marc Malkin asked Gina: “Suits reunion! Everywhere I look, there’s a star from Suits! Did you plan this? Are you all texting each other?”

She then replied: “Yeah, our text thread is insane right now!”

But then when the interviewer asked who texted Meghan Markle to invite her to the Golden Globes reunion, the answer isn’t what we expected.

Gina explained: “We don’t have her number. We just don’t, so… She’ll see, she’ll watch. She’ll be happy that we’re here.”

It’s hard to think someone who they worked with for seven seasons of the TV show wasn’t in any of the co-stars’ contacts?

Meghan worked on Suits between 2011 and 2019, a total of eight years. Say if you lost a friend’s number, there would be ways to get into contact. Celebrity agents know each other, right? It was an awkward moment for Prince Harry‘s wife.

No bad blood

It comes after the mom-of-two was asked about the recent success of Suits on Netflix at an event last year.

Hitting the Red Carpet for the first time in years, Meghan spoke about the show seeing new fans on the streaming giant platform. She also said her time on the cast was “really fun”.

Meghan said: “It was great to work on, such a great cast and crew. We had a really fun time. I was on it for seven seasons, so quite a bit. But it’s hard to find a show you can binge-watch that many episodes of these days, so that could have something to do with it. But good shows are everlasting.”

If the 42-year-old looked back warmly on her former Hollywood days, why didn’t she get an invite into the group chat?
