Prince Harry was quick to fly back to the UK to visit his dad last week before then heading home 25 hours later. It followed King Charles announcing he had been diagnosed with a form of cancer on Monday, February 5. Harry, 39, had flown home without his wife, Meghan Markle, or their two children, Archie, four, and Lilibet, two. He is said to have spent around 45 minutes with the monarch and Charles, 75, was seen leaving Clarence House in London looking emotional alongside his wife, Queen Camilla.
Prince Harry is ‘certainly not forgiven’ by King Charles, he claims
Jobson claimed in an interview with The Sun, he believes there has been a “clear message” sent to Prince Harry, that he hasn’t been “forgiven” by King Charles following his departure from the royal family in 2020.
“I think, personally, whatever way you look at it, Harry flying over – I can understand he’s a caring son,” said Jobson. “He’s somebody that might be feeling ‘ooh maybe I’ve got this all wrong.’ But he probably just wanted to say, you know, wish his dad the best.

“But it’s a clear message there. You know, ‘you’re not really … you’re certainly not forgiven. You’ve certainly done a lot of damage.'”
Jobson added he believed the reason Harry’s visit was so short to see his dad was because the king “didn’t want his blood pressure going up.”
“When you’re sick [and] it’s obviously very serious, whatever way you look at it, the best thing for him is calm. And, let’s be honest, after the initial kiss and hug, ‘love you, dad. Hope you get better soon,’ what issues are going to get raised? Things that will send his blood pressure rising,” Jobson continued.
“My feeling is it was probably best to keep it on a very low-key, glad that you came [basis].”
There could be hope for a brotherly reunion
Amid King Charles’ cancer diagnosis and Prince Harry flying back to the UK, a former royal butler has claimed there is hope Harry will speak to his brother again.
Grant Harrold said when Prince William and Harry were young, they were “close” and pointed out that, despite the turmoil in The Firm created by events like Megxit and Harry’s memoir Spare, they have spoken in the past. He used the example of when Queen Elizabeth II died at the age of 96 in September 2022.
He said: “I think they do talk. I think they are in communication. I’m aware of how close the two of them were, and I know a lot of people say about this fallout, and of course, there’s a fall-out I don’t disagree with it.
“But, you know, families have fallouts, and they still speak, so you can guarantee they will still be communicating.”
It is believed Harry and William did not see one another when he briefly visited. This may have partly been due to the fact William’s wife, Kate Middleton, has been in hospital recently for a “planned and successful” abdominal surgery. The procedure, of which details are being kept private, will see Kate, 42, out of the public eye until at least Easter.
