Prince Harry and Meghan Markle top 'most disliked celebrity list' after being branded 'losers'

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle tied the knot in 2018, but less than two years later, things between them and the rest of the royal family had gone sour, causing them to up and move across the Atlantic. Relationships became more strained when the couple ‘revealed all’ in an Oprah interview, and even further when Harry released his bombshell memoir, Spare. It looks like it hasn’t done them any favors, going by one poll in particular…
Harry and Meghan are currently in the ‘top’ on ‘most hated celebrity’ poll
Although we’re just about halfway through the year, the popular rating website Ranker has gathered votes from users of the web on who their most disliked celebrity is.
As the poll is open for users to freely vote, rankings do move up and down, but unfortunately, as of the time of writing, it’s not good news for Meghan Markle, who’s currently placed at the Number 1 Spot.
Harry hasn’t got a great ride either, as he’s currently placed at 3rd, just below Johnny Depp’s wife, Amber Heard, who is currently in 2nd place. Ouch!
Despite the ‘Photoshop fiasco’ of this year, Kate Middleton and Prince William don’t appear inside the Top 100, nor do any other members of the royals.
It’s not the first time the Sussexes have appeared in a list of the sort. At the end of last year, they were branded amongst the ‘biggest losers’ in showbiz.
However, the voting poll is only a small selection of people taking part and doesn’t show the full feelings against stars in showbiz. The duo made Time100’s list of most influential people back in 2021, a year after they traveled across the pond to the States.
The couple seem unbothered
It doesn’t look the couple are phased by their dip in popularity, as they looked happier than ever on their recent trip to Nigeria.
The pair had a three-day schedule on their unofficial royal tour, and on the final day could be seen in heaps of laughter while playing basketball with children at a school in Lagos.
Afterward, they called in an ‘unforgettable trip’. “Prince Harry and Meghan, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex concluded their unforgettable trip to Nigeria with a cultural reception in Lagos and a polo match fundraiser for Nigeria: Unconquered,” the statement on their website, Sussex.com, began.
They then said it was ‘the first of many,’ so we’re sure we’ll be seeing them touring again soon!
