Sandringham is going to be full!Christmas is a big affair for the royal family and 2024 will be no different, according to reports.
Members of the monarchy usually spend the festive period at Sandringham, exchanging gifts and enjoying fancy dinners. It’s a tradition upheld by the late Queen Elizabeth II, and her son King Charles has continued it for the past couple of years.
However, this year, it’s said it could be the royals’ biggest Christmas gathering yet with many in attendance as well as a black-tie dinner.
Let’s see how the royals could be spending their Christmas…

How the royal family spend Christmas
Members of the royal family usually spend Christmas at Sandringham House in Norfolk. King Charles and Queen Camilla will reportedly be there this year along with the Prince and Princess of Wales and their three children.
The king and queen want their nearest and dearest with them to celebrate.
According to an insider, more than 40 members of the family will be in attendance for the festive gathering. Wowzers!
The source told Vanity Fair that it will be “one of the biggest family Christmases ever”.

Prince William and Kate’s Christmas plans
Prince William and wife Kate will join the king and queen with their three kids – Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, nine, and six-year-old Prince Louis.
The source explained: “Actually the plan is for them to all be at Sandringham for a very special big family Christmas. William and Catherine and the children will be there. The king and queen want their nearest and dearest with them to celebrate.”
Elsewhere, amid his cancer treatment, the king reportedly feels “very excited about the family being together for the festive season”.
Queen Camilla’s son invited for Christmas with royals at Sandringham
Queen Camilla’s son, Tom Parker Bowles, recently revealed he’s been invited to spend Christmas with the royals.
He said he looks forward to a “different” festive period than usual.
The source said the queen consort is “very much looking forward to having some of her family at the Christmas table” and thinks it’ll feel “extra special”.

Royals’ Christmas Day walkabout and formal dinner
Every year, members of the royal family step out on Christmas Day to attend a church service. They then embark on a walkabout as they greet locals gathered outside.
Before that on Christmas Eve, the family reportedly have a black-tie dinner where they enjoy a turkey meal. Yum!
Prince Harry previously revealed in his tell-all memoir, Spare, that the family also open gifts on Christmas Eve, which includes exchanging jokey presents.
Meanwhile, Harry and wife Meghan Markle reportedly won’t join his family in the UK for Christmas this year. They’ll spend it in America, where they live, with their two children – Prince Archie, five, and Princess Lilibet, three.
