King Charles 'wouldn't feel comfortable' inviting Harry and Meghan for Christmas because of Queen Camilla
Harry previously made scathing comments about CamillaKing Charles is reportedly hosting Christmas at Sandringham this year – but Prince Harry and Meghan Markle might not be there.
The royal family will enjoy their “biggest ever” Christmas this year, according to reports.
However, it’s unclear whether the Duke and Duchess of Sussex received an invite. They currently live in California with their two children – Prince Archie, five, and Princess Lilibet, three.

King Charles ‘uncomfortable’ having Prince Harry and Meghan at Christmas gathering
Speaking to Slingo, former royal butler Grant Harrold said: “We don’t know for definite that Harry and Meghan haven’t been invited but after the comments made about Camilla, it would be understandable that the king might not feel comfortable having them there because he wants to protect his wife.
“But on saying that, time is a healer and the king has offered olive branches already in the past, so I find it very hard to think that he wouldn’t invite them for Christmas.
“But if they haven’t been invited, of course, that will be sad and upsetting for them.”

What Prince Harry said about Queen Camilla
Prince Harry previously made comments about his relationship with Camilla in his tell-all memoir Spare, released in 2023.
Harry claimed that Camilla had to “rehabilitate her image” after her alleged affair with Charles. King Charles and Camilla reportedly had an affair while he was married to the late Princess Diana – Harry and Prince William’s mum.
It would be understandable that the king might not feel comfortable having them there.
In his memoir, Harry said that he and brother William asked their father not to marry Camilla.
Harry also wrote in his book: “I had complex feelings about gaining a step parent who, I believed, had recently sacrificed me on her personal PR altar.
“In a funny way I even wanted Camilla to be happy. Maybe she’d be less dangerous if she was happy?”

Prince Harry didn’t think Charles and Camilla getting married was ‘necessary’
In an interview with CBS’ Anderson Cooper to promote his memoir, Harry said of the marriage comments: “We didn’t think it was necessary. We thought it would do more harm than good.
“Why go that far when you don’t necessarily need to? We wanted him to be happy. And we saw how happy he was with her. So, at the time, it was, ‘OK.'”
Harry added in the interview: “Because of the need for her to rehabilitate her image. That made her dangerous because of the connections that she was forging within the British press. And there was open willingness on both sides to trade information.
“And with a family built on hierarchy, and with her on the way to being queen consort, there was going to be people or bodies left in the street because of that.”
