King Charles to 'video call Archie and Lilibet at Christmas after sending gifts overseas'
Archie and Lilibet will spend the festive period in America with Harry and MeghanChristmas is a time for family and loved ones, and for King Charles it’s no different even with his grandchildren Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet living thousands of miles away.
Archie, five, and Lilibet, three, live in California with their parents Prince Harry, 40, and Meghan Markle, 43.
Despite being so far away, the king still wants to enjoy the festive occasion with his grandkids. A former royal butler said he could be in touch with them.

King Charles to ‘video call’ Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet at Christmas
According to former royal butler Grant Harrold, he believes there will “definitely” be “some sort of [Zoom] communication” on Christmas Day.
Grant, who worked with Charles between 2004 and 2011 when he was the Prince of Wales, told The Sun‘s Fabulous: “I’m not talking so much about Harry and Meghan directly. But I have no doubt the king will want to see his grandkids on Christmas Day.
“The king will send gifts. I guarantee you that something will be sent, and likewise, gifts will be sent to Grandpa or Grandmother [from the Sussexes].
“There will be a chance to see each other—whether it’s to see them open the gifts, that’s completely possible, because that’s what a lot of families do. It’s not a new thing.”

Grant added that he’d be “surprised if they didn’t FaceTime”. It would give the king the opportunity to “see the grandchildren opening the gifts he sent them”.
But what gifts could King Charles send his young grandchildren?
I have no doubt the king will want to see his grandkids on Christmas Day.
Well, Grant said the monarch, 76, is “very traditional” and therefore the gifts will likely be too.
He said the present will be “more traditional” than an Xbox. He suggested it could be something like a wooden farm set.

Prince Harry and Meghan’s life in California with their children
Prince Harry and Meghan moved to America in 2020. It came after they stepped back from their senior royal roles. They moved with son Prince Archie, who was born in May 2019.
They then welcomed Princess Lilibet in June 2021. Reports claim that the king hasn’t seen much of his grandkids since their move.
However, in recent months, it’s been claimed that Harry and Meghan have bought a home in Portugal.
This could prove to be helpful in visiting the UK more often. Also, they’d be closer to Harry’s cousin Princess Eugenie. Eugenie and husband Jack Brooksbank divide their time between the UK and Portugal with their two sons.

Former BBC royal commentator Jennie Bond told OK! that it could be “good for the children to mix with at least some of their royal cousins”.
She added: “How curious and sad it will be for Archie and Lilibet if they grow up knowing they are part of one of the most famous families in the world.”
