King Charles will 'approve' of Meghan Markle's Netflix series as she makes 'huge U-turn' on royal drama

The Duchess of Sussex’s new lifestyle series will premiere on Netflix on January 15. It will see Meghan give her tips and tricks on topics including cooking, gardening and crafting. It’ll also feature celeb guests.
According to a royal butler, Meghan has made a “U-turn” with this project.
King Charles ‘would approve’ of Meghan Markle’s new Netflix show
Speaking on behalf of Slingo, Grant Harrold – a former butler to King Charles – said: “This is something, without question, that the royal family would absolutely approve of – it’s nothing to do with them, she’s not using her title as she has done before.
“It’s a complete change of direction and a huge U-turn on what happened a couple of years ago, which is really interesting. Which again, to me, could show that relations are possibly improving between the families.
“This is the way to do things, if they want to do media and television.”
He continued: “I think this is the way they should’ve been doing it from the start – it’s very positive. And despite what’s happened in the past, even the king and queen would approve – let’s not forget Prince Edward and other members of the family have done television and documentaries and the queen also did her own documentary back in the 90s so it’s not unprecedented.”
Grant went on to say that although the series “won’t be everyone’s cup of tea,” he believes this is “exactly how I think they should be doing things”.

He then warned: “But they need to get the viewers and it’ll be interesting to see how this progresses from this point.
“Overall this is a positive step in the right direction for 2025 to see a very different take with what Meghan and Harry are doing and let’s hope this is a sign of what’s to come.”
Meghan gushes over new show on Instagram
Over on her new Instagram page, Meghan gushed over the upcoming Netflix series. All eight episodes will premiere on January 15.
