The couple rarely show affection in publicPrince William and Kate, Princess of Wales, have shared some sweet PDA moments over the years.
While the couple tend to be more subtle with their affection in public, their deep connection and loved-up nature has still been obvious.
Now, 13 years after their wedding and three children later, Prince William and Kate appear as loved-up as ever. Here’s some of our favourite PDA moments between the couple.

1. William and Kate’s early dating days
The couple met at the University of St Andrews and struck up a romance. In 2006, a moment between Prince William and Kate Middleton proved they were enjoying those early years of romance.
Whilst at a football match at Eton College, Kate was seen kissing William on the cheek.
2. Wedding of William and Kate
Of course, on their wedding day, the couple were all smiles and looked more in love than ever.
They tied the knot at Westminster Abbey on April 29, 2011.
In a now iconic moment on the Buckingham Palace balcony, the newlyweds shared a kiss as the crowds below erupted into cheers.
3. William and Kate dragon boating in 2011
A few months after their wedding day, the then Duke and Duchess of Cambridge appeared still in the honeymoon phase as they smiled and cuddled at dragon boating.
The couple were visiting Prince Edward Island in Canada, and embarked on the activity.
But a sweet moment between the pair saw Kate lean in to cuddle William as he wrapped his arm around her.
4. Polo match smooch
In July 2011, William and Kate shared a kiss at the Foundation Polo Challenge in Santa Barbara.
The cheek kiss was a tender moment between the couple after William’s team won.

5. Loved-up appearance at Olympics 2012
Attending the 2012 London Olympics, William and Kate weren’t afraid of PDA as a sweet moment captured delighted fans.
It saw Kate leap into William’s arms as they watched the cycling event at the Velodrome.

6. Earthshot Prize awards 2022
At the Earthshot Prize awards in 2022, Kate was the one showing affection as she placed a hand on William’s back in a sweet display of support.
The couple took to the green carpet as they smiled and dazzled for the cameras.
7. Prince and Princess of Wales at BAFTAs 2023
At the BAFTAs in 2023, the couple put on a very loved-up display as they walked the red carpet for the ceremony.
Kate even tapped William on the bottom – a moment not missed by royal fans who loved seeing the playful side to the couple.
8. Holding hands at Royal Variety Performance
Elsewhere in 2023, Prince William and Kate once again packed on the PDA as they walked the red carpet at the Royal Variety Performance.
William, looking dapper in a black tux, held Kate’s hand as they arrived. The Princess of Wales’ style was unmatched as she looked stunning in a blue gown and matching heels.
9. William and Kate’s look of love
2024 was a tough year for the family as Kate was diagnosed with cancer. She announced the news publicly in March, and underwent preventative chemotherapy.
During a trip to South Africa later in 2024, William admitted the year had been “brutal” and “dreadful”.
In June 2024, Kate made her first big appearance since sharing her diagnosis as she attended Trooping the Colour – King Charles III’s official birthday parade – with William and their kids.
And the couple shared glances of love throughout the Buckingham Palace balcony appearance, looking more loved-up than ever.
10. William and Kate’s family video
In September 2024, Kate announced she had completed her cancer treatment. She shared the news in a touching family video from their summer break.
And one moment saw William kissing Kate’s neck as their kids played around them.
Although a sweet snippet of their romance, their nine-year-old daughter Princess Charlotte screwed up her face! Nothing worse than seeing your parents smooching, eh?
