Prince Harry 'angered' over Meghan Markle's father Thomas' gushing comments about her first husband
Thomas said he "really liked" Meghan's ex-husband Trevor EngelsonPrince Harry has reportedly been left “angered” over Thomas Markle – his father-in-law – making a gushing comment about Meghan Markle’s first husband.
In a recent interview, Thomas gushed over Trevor Engelson saying he doesn’t think the American film producer “ever understood why she dumped him either”.
Meghan, 43, and Trevor, 48, were married from 2011 to 2014. Their divorce came two years before Meghan began dating Prince Harry.

Speaking to the MailOnline recently, Thomas, 80, said: “I really liked Trevor. I don’t think he ever understood why she dumped him either.”
Thomas has angered Harry as his comments seem to be an insult.
However, according to source, the comment hasn’t gone down well with the Duke of Sussex, 40.
They told The News International: “Thomas has dealt a strong blow to Harry with the royal’s comparison to Meghan’s first husband. Thomas has angered Harry as his comments seem to be an insult.”

Thomas Markle moving to Asia to make ‘fresh start’
Elsewhere in his recent interview, retired television lighting director Thomas revealed he’s planning to move from Mexico to somewhere in Asia.
Thomas has had a fractured relationship with his daughter Meghan since she became engaged to Prince Harry in 2017. Their relationship became strained in the lead-up to her wedding to Harry after Thomas staged paparazzi pictures. Since then, they’ve not had a relationship.
He didn’t attend Meghan and Harry’s wedding in May 2018 after becoming ill and having to undergo heart surgery.
He hasn’t met Harry, nor his grandchildren – Archie, five, and Lilibet, three.
Meghan Markle’s father ‘ready for a change’
Thomas told the Mail: “I am ready for a change. I have felt stuck in a rut for some time and I am ready to meet new people and experience kindness. I don’t know where I’ll end up but it is time to move on and find a place where I can live among kind people and enjoy the time I have left.”
He added of Meghan: “I wish her no ill-will. My dream is that one day I could bring my whole family together, like a normal family.”
Thomas previously said he was “open” to repairing his relationship with his daughter. Speaking to 7NEWS Spotlight in 2023, Thomas said: “I wish that we can sit down and talk. I wish we could work out our differences. She loved me. I’m her hero. And suddenly, I was thrown out.”
He said if Prince Harry and Meghan turned up at his home, he’d invite them in.
