James Corden has sparked intrigue with a cryptic Instagram post following reports of a behind-the-scenes fallout with long-time friend Prince Harry.
The rumours, which surfaced on Sunday, allege that soccer icon David Beckham stepped in to mediate after tensions flared between the two friends.
Amid the speculation, James took to Instagram to share a poignant quote from British artist Charlie Mackesy.
“Once in a while, out of the blue, your heart spins, and it can feel like you’re falling with nothing to hold on to. But you are not the storm, and it will pass,” the quote read.
James captioned the post with the message: “We all need this from @charliemackesy every once in a while.”
James Corden and Prince Harry ‘row’ claims resurface
Actor and TV host James, 46, was known for his success on British television with shows like Gavin and Stacey before he broke into Hollywood.
He has been close friends with Prince Harry and David for years.
Their friendship dates back to at least 2011 when Harry and David organised a pre-Christmas party for friends at an exclusive London club.
James was performing in One Man, Two Guvnors at the time, and reportedly joined the festivities later in the evening.
According to insiders, the gathering was initially going well.
“There was rapture when [James] arrived. He was a much-loved part of the group, and there were hugs and giggles,” a source told the Express. “The group was pretty large. There were some of Harry’s friends, some of James’ friends, and some of David’s gang and they all intertwined.”
It quickly emerged that Harry had told a joke, and James definitely did not find it funny.
However, the mood allegedly shifted after a joke by Prince Harry didn’t sit well with the actor.
“Then it all kicked off,” the source continued. “James was furious. It quickly emerged that Harry had told a joke, and James definitely did not find it funny.”
The situation reportedly escalated, leading to David stepping in to diffuse the tension.
“It fell to David to smooth things over,” the source explained. “He is loved by everyone, I mean, who wouldn’t want to do as they were asked by a legend like him?”
Beckham’s efforts were successful, with the source noting: “He did a great job and managed to talk everyone round. Eventually, James calmed down and the night carried on.”
James’ Instagram post has been interpreted by some as a subtle acknowledgment of the reports.
However, neither James nor Prince Harry have publicly addressed the rumours.

“Kate still really cares about Harry, so when she sees this rollout almost solely focused on Meghan, with Harry seemingly sidelined, it worries her,” an insider told Heat.
“It’s so far from the Harry she and other royals have known. It feels like they’re losing him all over again.”
