According to reports, the awards show is trying to secure Kate‘s attendance after she missed the 2024 ceremony due to her undergoing cancer treatment.
With the Princess of Wales’ attendance this year rumoured, let’s reminisce on the royal’s past appearances on the red carpet…

BAFTAs ‘trying to secure’ Princess Kate’s attendance in 2025
The 2025 BAFTAs will take place at London‘s Royal Festival Hall on February 16 this year.
According to insiders, the awards are “pulling out all the stops” to secure Kate’s attendance. She missed last year’s ceremony due to her cancer treatment. Kate announced the end of her cancer treatment in September 2024.
Anything Bafta can do to work around Kate, it will do.
A source has told the MailOnline: “Bafta has close ties with William and Kate and is pulling out all the stops to try to secure Kate’s presence at this year’s awards.
“It sent her warmest wishes when she revealed her cancer diagnosis and hopes she will appear alongside William in what will be her big showbiz return since she’s been in recovery. Anything Bafta can do to work around Kate, it will do.”
They added: “We have been told that she wouldn’t want to miss it, so she’s hoping to be there with William.”

Princess Kate’s BAFTAs appearance in 2017
With Kate’s rumoured 2025 appearance making headlines, let’s take a look back at one of her earliest looks for the ceremony.
In 2017, Kate looked stunning in an off the shoulder gown as she walked the red carpet with Prince William.
The black Alexander McQueen dress featured a bardot neckline, floral pattern and ribbon detailing.
She wore her hair in an updo and completed the look with drop earrings and a black clutch bag.

Pregnant Kate at the BAFTAs in 2018
A year later, Kate attended the BAFTAs pregnant with her third child Prince Louis, now six.
The then Duchess of Cambridge looked glowing in a dark green gown from Jenny Packham.
The dress featured a sweetheart neckline and flowed over her bump.
Kate wore her hair down in big bouncy curls and wore green stud earrings and a necklace to compliment the dress.

Kate’s BAFTAs dress in 2019
Two years later and Kate opted for a lighter colour dress for the 2019 BAFTAs in London.
Kate wore a white one-shoulder dress from Alexander McQueen for the ceremony.
On the shoulder, the dress featured flower detailing. It also flowed out at the bottom, giving Kate the look of a total princess.
She had her hair styled in an updo and wore drop earrings and a white clutch bag.

In early 2020, Kate and William attended the BAFTAs.
Kate opted for a different style dress this year, wearing a white and gold gown from Alexander McQueen.
The dress was white and featured gold embroidery detailing. It also featured a sweetheart neckline and short sleeves.
Again, Kate wore her hair up with a statement necklace on show which matched her dress.

Princess of Wales’ last BAFTAs appearance
Kate, 43, made her last BAFTAs appearance in 2023, before her cancer diagnosis.
The Princess of Wales recycled the one-shoulder Alexander McQueen dress she had earlier worn for the 2019 BAFTAs. However, for the 2023 ceremony, Kate added black gloves to the look.

The dress was also revamped by adding a different detailing to the shoulder.
She also wore her hair down in a sleek style.
