King Charles to be used as a 'political tactic to charm Donald Trump'
Trump has always had nice things to say about the royalsWith the Donald Trump inauguration just around the corner, it seems the royal family will play a key part in staying on his good side – especially King Charles.
On January 20, Trump takes his place in the White House once again. And with it, comes a list of potential changes.
With the potential of Trump launching tariffs against Britain, one MP said it could prove a “real economic disaster” and it was “quite scary,” especially for the Labour party. This is because it will make it harder for them to be re-elected.

But one way that the UK could try to keep Trump on its side, is by using the royal family to the best they can.
According to I News, prime minister Keir Starmer knows this is his best shot. One MP reportedly said: “Trump likes the UK. We just need to milk that for what it’s worth.”
Another Labour MP – a senior backbencher – also backed this up. They said: “Obviously we do need to deploy the royals. The poor old royal family is going to be spending a lot of time with Trump in the future I suppose.”
The soon-to-be president is a very vocal fan of the monarchy, so it probably would suit him if he got to spend more time with the family.
There are a range of things the monarchy could do to keep Trump on side, according to the publication.
We do need to deploy the royals.
One possibility could make Trump the first world leader to be invited for a second state visit to the UK. However, it would actually be down to the government to decide if this historic invitation would be worth it. And so far, no plans have been made.
However, another possibility could be the royals heading to America.

Insiders were ‘thrilled’ with William and Trump’s meeting
According to reports, planners may consider a visit by the royals to mark the 2026 United States Semiquincentennial (250 years of the American independence).
And for whatever reason if King Charles can not attend, the matter could fall to Prince William and wife Kate – who has just revealed her cancer is in remission.
Along with all of that, reports claim the palace may consider meetings between Trump and Charles outside of a formal visit – perhaps if Trump wanted to visit Charles’ golf course.
Back in December, Trump and Prince William spent time together at the reopening of the Notre-Dame cathedral. And it looks like palace insiders and the government all appeared very pleased with how it went.
At the time, Trump gushed over William “doing a fantastic job,” as the pair spent approximately 40 minutes together.
