Prince William's 'genuine' hopes for Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis after George follows in his footsteps
William is an Aston Villa fanPrince William has hopes for his children Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis after Prince George followed in his father’s footsteps.
The Prince of Wales’ hopes for his youngest children were revealed during a visit to watch a football match earlier this week.

Prince William meets Aston Villa fans
Earlier this week, Prince William, 42, sat down with some Aston Villa fans in a pub in Birmingham ahead of their match against Everton.
William, who is an Aston Villa fan, will have been thrilled that his team beat Everton 1-0.
Prince George, 11, will have been equally as thrilled, considering he too is a Villa fan.
However, William isn’t keen for Charlotte or Louis to follow in their footsteps – and wants them to support someone else.
The revelation was made by Steve Jones, a Villa fan who met the future king in a Birmingham Wetherspoons on the day of the match.
Speaking to the Express, Steve said: “We were contacted by the club saying Prince William wanted to meet a delegation of Villa fans as he was in Birmingham as he wanted to keep in the loop with everything going on at Villa. He was fantastic. I was quite amazed about how engaged he was with the club, his interest. He’s not a fair weather fan. He really loves the club with a passion.”

Prince William’s wish for children Charlotte and Louis to not support Aston Villa
Mr Jones then continued.
“We spoke about the club, the transfers, the pending Champions League trip to Monaco, and all things Aston Villa. He asked many questions – he’s got a good level of interest,” he said.
“It was 95% chat about Villa as that’s our shared interest but a bit about his family. Young George is a Villa fan but he didn’t want all three [of his children] to be Villa fans. He was massively interested and seemed a really genuine guy and all he wanted to do is talk about Villa,” he then added.
Mike Tindall has previously spoken about George’s love for Villa.
“George loves his football,” he said last year. “He’s passionate about Aston Villa, too. Wherever he is, he’ll sit down and watch that game.”
It’s not known what teams – if any – Louis and Charlotte support.

Expert expects William to pass on royal title to George
In other Prince William news, a royal expert has said that he would be “stunned” if William didn’t pass down a royal title to Prince George.
The royal title in question is Prince of Wales – a title William has held since his father became king in 2022.
It has been tradition for the ruling monarch to bestow the heir apparent with the title for centuries.
Charles held the title up until 2022. It is expected that William will pass on the title to George once he ascends to the throne.
“I’d be stunned if it disappeared, only because the monarchy is built on tradition,” royal expert Huw Thomas told The Sun’s Royal Exclusive show.
“It may not be an inherited title, but it is the tradition that the monarch gives their son the title Prince of Wales. So it would be quite stunning if they didn’t. History tells us they stick to tradition,” he then added.
