William, Prince of Wales uses ‘fake name on football forums’

Earlier this month, Prince William joined some Aston Villa fans in a pub in Birmingham.

The meeting between William – who is a big supporter of the team – and the fans took place before their game against Everton.

He goes under different names and he posts on there because that’s how he gets the feeling of what’s going on.

During his chat with the Villa fans, William let slip a secret – he uses a fake name to post his opinion on the team in football forums!

Steve Jones – a fan of the club who met the prince – told The Athletic that William stays up-to-date with team going-ons as he is on all the fan forums.

“He goes under different names and he posts on there because that’s how he gets the feeling of what’s going on and what’s the opinion,” he told the publication.

Mr Jones then continued.

“He admitted he would love to have more opinions on certain things within the game but he can’t in his role as president of the FA,” he said.

William was President of the FA between 2006 and 2024 and remains a patron of the organisation.

Mr Jones also revealed that William has one wish for his younger kids Princess Charlotte, nine, and Prince Louis, six, – he doesn’t want them to support Villa.

“It was 95% chat about Villa as that’s our shared interest but a bit about his family. Young George is a Villa fan but he didn’t want all three [of his children] to be Villa fans,” he told the Express.

“He was massively interested and seemed a really genuine guy and all he wanted to do is talk about Villa,” he then added.

Prince George set to move school next year

In other Prince William news, he and Kate have a major decision to make about their son, Prince George.

George will be moving schools once he turns 13 next summer. However, the royals have yet to decide where to send him.

The search is believed to have narrowed down to four schools.

One school is Eton College, where Prince William and Prince Harry studied. It has the most expensive fees by far, with a year costing £63,000.

Another option is Kate’s old school, Marlborough College. The £59,000-a-year school is in Wiltshire. This means George would have to relocate to attend.

A third option for the young royal is Highgate School in North London.

The final reported option is £31k-a-year school, University College School Hampstead. It’s also in London.
