Queen Camilla promises to write letter to young girl after hearing her 'dream' to become princess
The queen consort spoke with equestrian Ros Canter at a reception on WednesdayIn Queen Camilla news, the royal has made a sweet promise after receiving a drawing from a young girl during a recent reception.
On Wednesday (January 22), the queen consort, 77, hosted a reception at Clarence House to celebrate the achievements of the British Equestrian teams at the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
During the reception, Camilla met gold medallist equestrian Ros Canter, who shared a sweet detail about her five-year-old daughter.

Speaking to the queen, Ros said of her daughter Ziggy: “My daughter was jealous of me coming here. She wants to be a princess.”
Ros showed Camilla a drawing from her little girl.
Camilla, who is patron of the British Equestrian Federation, then replied: “That’s very sweet. Tell her I will send her a letter.”
Speaking after, Ros said: “She loved it. She said she was going to write her a letter back. So that’d be amazing.
“She’ll be the talk of the school, so she’ll be very proud of that.”

Camilla apologises over missing Paris Olympics event
Elsewhere during the reception this week, Camilla revealed her emotional side when speaking about missing the equestrian events at the Paris Olympics last year.
She said in a speech: “It made us all feel very proud to be British.
That’s very sweet. Tell her I will send her a letter.
“I’m sorry I wasn’t there but I was watching very keenly every bit of it on the television and it really did bring tears to the eyes.”
The queen added: “Thank you to the whole team for what you do and let’s keep British best.”

Queen Camilla has been out and about this week, recently visiting the Great Western Hospital in Swindon. She was there as the hospital unveiled its newly transformed emergency department.
During the visit, Camilla offered a rare insight into her family and grandchildren as she revealed they have ended up in the hospital’s A&E department on “several occasions”.
She told staff members: “I am so impressed by this A&E. I have had very good feedback because I have had friends who come here and grandchildren who have been here on several occasions.”
Camilla added: “I really wanted to congratulate everybody who has done such a brilliant job with this place and everyone who is working here. I do know from first-hand experience the difference you are making to this part of the country. So, congratulations to you all.”
