“I think she [Diana] put the name out there. Centrepoint has been a cherished charity that my family and I have supported for many years,” Kitty said.

Reflecting on Prince William’s involvement, she continued: “I’m extremely proud of my cousin Prince William for all he does and continues to do to support Centrepoint and the vital work they provide to homeless young people.”

This year marks 20 years since Prince William became a patron of Centrepoint. He follows in the footsteps of his mother.

I’m extremely proud of my cousin Prince William for all he does and continues to do to support Centrepoint.

Kitty herself has joined the cause as an ambassador for Centrepoint’s independent living programme.

“The thing I’ve always loved about Centrepoint is just how practical it is,” she explained. “It’s not simply providing a much-needed roof over someone’s head. They’ll train you, they’ll dress you for job interviews. Their goal is to get these people through their system. They’re just an amazing team, and the confidence and the sense of identity that they help give to people who have been stripped of it is extraordinary.”

Prince William recently visited Centrepoint on January 21.

Inside the lives of Lady Kitty Spencer and her sisters

The Tatler feature also explored the Spencer sisters’ thoughts on mental health, an issue both Prince William and wife Princess Kate have long advocated for.

Lady Eliza, 32, revealed her own personal journey.

She said has seen a therapist for the last 17 years. She said she thinks “everyone should have someone to speak to that’s outside of their inner circle”.

Meanwhile, Kitty opened up about balancing her family life with her work. She said she does “a lot less than I did now that I’ve got my little girl” and she’s “much more selective”.

Kitty also reflected on her wedding in 2021 to businessman Michael Lewis. The celebration took place in her “happiest place in the world” – Italy.

Meanwhile, Lady Amelia, 32, recently tied the knot with longtime partner Greg Mallett in 2023 during a dreamy South Africa wedding.

Lady Eliza, who has been with her partner Channing for nine years, hinted that her own wedding may be on the horizon.

Despite their busy lives, the Spencer sisters remain each other’s strongest supporters. They revealed that their bond acts as a “safety net” during challenging times.
