Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh has been winning admiration, not only for her grace and devotion to the monarchy, but also for her ageless beauty – and it could be thanks to her diet.

As she continues to stun on royal tours, many are curious about the lifestyle habits that keep Sophie looking so vibrant at 60.

While it’s not known for certain what Duchess Sophie’s diet includes, there’s been some reports over the years. Let’s take a look…

Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh reportedly follows Mediterranean-style diet

According to multiple reports, Sophie may follow a Mediterranean-style diet. It’s often considered one of the healthiest diets in the world.

It reportedly emphasises fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and healthy fats.

Personal trainer and CEO of Moonlight Reviews Jeremiah Daniel previously shared his thoughts on Sophie’s reported lifestyle habits.

He explained to the Express: “The Duchess of Edinburgh has a holistic approach to maintaining physical and mental wellbeing, incorporating a variety of healthy lifestyle habits into her daily routine.

“In terms of diet, the countess is said to follow the Mediterranean diet with no strict rules about food intake and instead emphasises the importance of balance and overall wellbeing.”

Reports claim that Sophie’s diet is largely natural and unprocessed. It consists primarily of vegetables, fruits, and legumes, healthy fats and lean proteins.

She is also careful to avoid high-sugar, high-fat processed foods, apparently.

What Duchess Sophie has said about her diet

Meanwhile, over the years, Sophie has given glimpses into what she and her family eats.

Speaking to The Times in 2020, Sophie revealed of her husband Prince Edward’s cooking skills: “He is very good at barbecues, and the children love those.

The Duchess of Edinburgh has a holistic approach to maintaining physical and mental wellbeing.

“He takes our son fishing, does a lot of riding with our daughter, he is very engaged as a father.”

According to reports, Sophie is also a fan of a morning smoothie. Kate, Princess of Wales, is reportedly a big green smoothie fan but Sophie prefers hers with berries.

Duchess Sophie and Prince Edward visit Nepal on royal tour

Sophie and her husband Prince Edward are currently on a royal tour in Nepal.

During their tour, the couple have visited Bhaktapur Hospital Maternity Wing to learn about maternal health and newborn care. Sophie also joined discussions about interventions supporting survivors of sexual exploitation, gender-based violence, and trafficking, the palace has said.

After images were shared to the royal family’s social media pages of the pair’s trip, many fans gushed over Sophie’s appearance.

“The Duchess of Edinburgh is stunning,” one fan gushed on social media.

“Sophie is elegant and classy,” another agreed.

A third simply wrote: “Beautiful.”
