Meghan Markle tells Prince Harry ‘no!’ as he catches her off guard at Invictus Games
The couple had a playful moment on stage at the gamesMeghan Markle was left taken aback at the Invictus Games this week as Prince Harry cheekily put her on the spot.
The couple have been in Canada the past few days for the 2025 edition of the games – which Harry founded in 2014.
This week, Harry, 40, and Meghan, 43, attended the Whistler Welcome celebration and took to the stage to give a speech.

After being introduced on stage by friend and singer Michael Bublé, Harry told the crowd “Well, thank God Michael Bublé sang. Can you imagine bringing him out here and him saying, ‘You know what? I didn’t come here to sing…’ Thank you for the introduction.”
Michael Bublé had sang a riff of his hit song Feeling Good.
The Duke of Sussex continued: “Thank you all so much for the love and support for these competitors. You all came up here, you knew you were going to get cold, so thank you for the support!”
Then he waved Meghan over and said: “My wife and I—come on out here! Come on!”
As Meghan joined him, Harry joked: “Now she’s going to sing!”

Meghan looked slightly horrified and began laughing. She replied: “No!”
As they left the stage, the duchess told the crowd: “Thank you, everybody. Have the best time!”
The playfulness of these two is just infectious.
Royal fans loved the playful moment between the couple as one gushed on X: “This is hilarious and super cute! Harry and Michael Bublé nearly gave Meghan a heart attack by asking her to sing.”
Another wrote: “Her face. The panic. I reckon she could pull off a tune.”
A third added: “The playfulness of these two is just infectious.”

Two years later on June 4, 2021, the couple welcomed a daughter named Princess Lilibet. She was named after the late Queen Elizabeth II - whose nickname was Lilibet.
Months after welcoming son Archie, Prince Harry and Meghan announced they were stepping down from their senior royal roles within the royal family. They then moved to the United States and have lived there since.
Meghan has made a return to the entertainment world, launching projects with Netflix alongside Harry. In January 2025, she announced a lifestyle show named With Love, Meghan, which will see her giving cooking and gardening tips to viewers alongside a host of celebrity guests. It will premiere on March 4, 2025.
Speaking on behalf of Betfair Casino for Royal Insider, Darren Stanton said: “It is clear they are both in love. They are showing very genuine emotion and are not afraid to show public displays of affection.”

Meanwhile, of the couple’s kiss at the opening ceremony at the weekend, Darren added: “It was a very passionate kiss from Meghan and she doesn’t appear to be concerned about the fact that they are being papped or that there are people around them. They are still in their own little bubble and very much on the same page.”
