Meghan Markle branded 'worst PR crisis gift that keeps on giving' at Invictus Games
Meghan's appearance has caused a lot of backlashAs the Invictus Games continue, Meghan Markle has come under fire as her attendance as been branded a “PR crisis”.
Since the Invictus Games started on February 8, Meghan, 43, has been by Prince Harry’s side supporting him. And while she has just returned home to California, it seems her presence at the games has caused a stir.
Despite the games being something Harry, 40, set up himself, and for a good cause, a lot of the focus was on Meghan Markle. And not all in a good way.

The Invictus Games acted as a ‘runway’ for Meghan Markle
Royal commentator Sarah-Louise Robertson spoke to GB News about the games, and how she feels Meghan used it for her own advantage.
Sarah-Louise claimed that Meghan “can’t help herself” and used the games to “present herself” for her own projects.
The royal commentator also referenced Meghan’s increased use of her Instagram account over the past few days. The duchess has been updating fans on her and Harry’s time at the games on her recently activated Instagram account.
Sarah-Louise said: “She is just the worst PR crisis gift that keeps on giving. She has used the last five days really as her runway, for flashing designer clothes that she is wearing. And clinging on to Harry.”
But it seems, Sarah-Louise believes Meghan was making sure to be in “every shot” and was “plastering herself everywhere” that Harry went.
She added: “We have hardly heard anything about the athletes. I don’t even know who any of them are, sadly. It’s just really been the Meghan show. And now she has gone home.
She is just the worst PR crisis gift that keeps on giving.
“It started to really affect the luck of the games because she has taken a plastering. She’s all over everywhere. She is putting herself forward and at the centre yet again. This is what she does. She just can’t help herself, she is in every shot.”
It seems Meghan’s solo projects are believed to be the reason she is putting herself in the limelight, as Sarah-Louise believes she was actually filming a new Netflix show at the Invictus Games.

Meghan Markle was ‘clinging’ to Prince Harry at Invictus Games
“She is taking pictures herself, with her phone videoing it all. But then she’s got someone behind her videoing her on top. Which is for her new Netflix show,” Sarah-Louise commented. “So Meghan was just using this as an opportunity to present herself. And it was distracting away from the games.”
Despite the backlash, the Invictus Games offered Harry and Meghan a chance to squash the divorce rumours that have been following the couple for months.
And while they were showing a lot of public affection for each other, with Harry even praising his wife’s support, Sarah-Louise believes this was mainly one-sided.
She said that she thinks Harry “actually at points looked quite unhappy” and said Meghan had been “clinging to him”. Sarah-Louise said Harry “just looked like he wanted to be left alone for five minutes”.
Despite the criticism of Meghan, many royal fans have loved seeing the couple together at the games. One person said on X recently: “They seem like a very happy laid-back couple who are truly in love and compliment each other.”
Another commented: “Thoroughly enjoyed seeing Prince Harry and Meghan over the last couple of days, attending the Invictus Games in Canada. Great to see them looking so happy and in love, silencing their critics.”
