Princess Kate has wowed royal fans by sharing some portraits drawn by her children – Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.

The Princess of Wales, 43, shared the pictures on the Waleses’ official Instagram account on Monday (February 17).

Taking to Instagram, Kate shared some portraits drawn by herself and her children for her 16.8 million followers to see.

They drew the portraits as part of the princess’ Early Childhood scheme. In 2021, Kate launched the Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood which focuses on raising awareness on the impact of a child’s early years.

On Monday, Kate shared snaps of four portraits. Although it isn’t confirmed who has been drawn in each sketch, it appears the children drew their mother.

The first picture, pencilled in red crayon, was drawn by Kate’s youngest, six-year-old Louis.

The second colourful picture was drawn by Princess Charlotte. It showed a woman with long hair.

Meanwhile, the third – sketched by the princess’ eldest son, 11-year-old George – showed a long-haired person sat in an armchair.

A fourth portrait, drawn by Kate herself, is a detailed sketch of a young boy – potentially Prince Louis – with his eyes closed.

Kate explains the reasoning behind portraits

Kate penned a lengthy caption to go alongside the post.

“The @earlychildhood Shaping Us Framework describes the social and emotional skills which start to develop in early childhood,” she wrote.

“These skills are key throughout our lives, shaping who we are, how we manage our thoughts and emotions, how we communicate with and relate to others, and how we explore the world around us,” she continued.

I absolutely love the drawings but Prince George’s is so good.

“Drawing portraits with children can provide a moment of connection as you spend time looking at and focusing on one another, as well as being creative and – most importantly – having lots of fun together!” she then added.

She detailed underneath which of her children had drew each sketch.

Fans appeared seriously impressed with the portraits and took to the comment section to gush over the royal children’s efforts.
