Meghan Markle has signalled that she remains “a member of the royal family” with a gift her husband Prince Harry bought her, according to an expert.

The Duchess of Sussex, 43, showed off a stunning, expensive gift from Harry, 40, during her appearances at the Invictus Games last week.

Meghan Markle’s stunning ‘£4k’ gift from Harry

Last month, Meghan reportedly showcased £337,226 (($421,759) worth of jewellery in the trailer for her new Netflix show, With Love, Meghan.

Then, just last week, the duchess wore a stunning signet ring – a gift she reportedly received from Harry on their anniversary last year.

Aside from paying a romantic tribute to her husband, Meghan could also be wearing the ring to signal that she’s still a member of the royal family.

Now, jewellery experts at UK retailer Steven Stone have analysed Meghan’s custom piece. They have called it a clear symbol that she remains a member of the royal family.

Expert Zack Stone said: “Meghan Markle has long been a fan of meaningful, personal pieces, and her new signet ring is a perfect example. Crafted from gold, the ring is engraved with a cursive ‘HM’ paired with a coronet above it, symbolising her and Prince Harry’s royal cypher. This bespoke design was created following their marriage in 2018.”

Meghan Markle’s ring sends a ‘signal’ she’s ‘still a member of the royal family’

Zack then continued.

“Aside from paying a romantic tribute to her husband, Meghan could also be wearing the ring to signal that she’s still a member of the royal family,” he said.

“Signet rings have been a symbol of royalty for centuries. Traditionally worn by men – it’s widely known that King Charles has owned and worn the same signet ring since the 1970s, the bezel distinctly engraved with the crest of the Prince of Wales.”

“However, the duchess is far from the first royal woman to embrace this timeless accessory. Queen Elizabeth II was often seen wearing one, while King Charles gifted Princess Diana a signet ring before their wedding. Queen Camilla has also been spotted wearing one,” Zack then said.

“I’d estimate Meghan’s ring to be worth £4,000,” he then added.

Meghan Markle warned latest business venture is ‘make or break’

Yesterday saw Meghan officially announce that she has changed the name of her business. Formerly America Rivieria Orchard, Meghan has revealed that the brand’s new name is As Ever.

It will launch in a couple of weeks to coincide with the debut of her Netflix show, With Love, Meghan.

However, Brand and Culture expert Nick Ede has claimed that this latest rebrand for Meghan could be “make or break”.

During an exclusive chat with Royal Insider, we asked Nick why Meghan keeps rebranding.

“She has had to do this as there were so many issues with her copyright for American Riviera. The new brand doesn’t have any issues so this is a good way of making sure that moving forward there are no intellectual property problems as this is a big deal for her and a make or break for her brand,” he said.

“You only get one chance to make a good impression and this has to be perfect for it to have longevity and last.”
