Princess Kate and Prince William set for joint engagement following family break
They will make a trip to Wales
Prince William and Princess Kate are reportedly enjoying some family time with their children, but Kensington Palace has now shared some news.
The royal couple have reportedly been enjoying a sun-soaked break with their children Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, nine, and six-year-old Prince Louis.
However, the palace has now shared William and Kate’s first joint engagement since their break. It’ll take place in Wales ahead of St David’s Day.

Prince William and Princess Kate reveal upcoming royal engagement
While the family has been relishing their time on the exclusive Caribbean island of Mustique, known for its strict no-fly zone and high level of privacy, the Prince and Princess of Wales made it clear that duty still calls.
On Thursday, Kensington Palace confirmed they will be visiting Pontypridd in South Wales on Wednesday, February 26.
They will be visiting to meet communities affected by severe flooding caused by Storms Bert and Darragh.
The royal couple will kick off their engagement by meeting with local residents and business owners who have been directly impacted by the recent storms.
Their visit will include stops at the town centre. Whilst there, Prince William and Kate will explore small businesses.
A highlight of the day will see William and Kate don aprons at The Welsh Cake Shop.
The royals will help to prepare a fresh batch of traditional Welsh cakes. These sweet, griddle-baked treats, typically filled with currants, are a beloved staple of Welsh cuisine.
This upcoming engagement echoes a similar visit by King Charles. The king toured the region in 2020 following damage caused by Storm Dennis.
During that trip, Charles and Queen Camilla also tried their hand at baking Welsh cakes.

Kate and William holiday in Mustique
The Wales family has reportedly been holidaying on Mustique, a long-time favorite destination for the couple.
Known for its crystal-clear waters and luxurious villas, Mustique offers the royals a rare escape from public life as its airspace restrictions ensure maximum privacy.
The island also holds special memories for the family.
In 2019, they celebrated Prince George’s sixth birthday on the tropical island. At the time, Kate captured a candid photo of her son smiling in the Caribbean sun.
Over the years, the family has balanced their tropical escapes with low-key staycations in the Isles of Scilly and a nostalgic trip to Jordan, where Kate spent part of her childhood.
Princess Kate returns to her duties
This upcoming visit to Wales marks another step in Princess Kate’s gradual return to public duties following her cancer battle.
After undergoing major abdominal surgery in January 2024 and subsequent cancer treatment last year, Kate confirmed earlier this year that she is now in remission.
As anyone who has experienced a cancer diagnosis will know, it takes time to adjust to a new normal.
The Princess of Wales shared an emotional statement in January, reflecting on her cancer battle.
“As anyone who has experienced a cancer diagnosis will know, it takes time to adjust to a new normal,” she said at the time.
