What Princess Kate really thinks about Prince William's beard
Wills' bearded look has certainly won over royal fansPrince William has been winning over royal fans with his beard after letting it grow last year – but what does his wife Princess Kate think about it?
Well, according to one of William’s closest royal aides, Kate, 43, seems to be a fan and there’s one way that explains this.
Jason Knauf has sat down for a new interview with 60 Minutes Australia, where he shared some insights into working with senior members of the royal family.

What Princess Kate thinks about Prince William’s beard
Jason, who worked as an aide to Prince William, 42, and Kate as well as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, said he “loves” William’s bearded look.
He said: “I love it. I think it’s great. But I’ve talked to him about it or tried to talk to him about it. He’s like, ‘It’s here. I have a beard. No further conversation.'”
When asked if Kate is a fan of the look, Jason added: “If she didn’t like it, it wouldn’t be there. I could tell you that!”
Seems like Wills’ beard is here to stay then!

Why Prince William’s beard left daughter Princess Charlotte in ‘floods of tears’
However, there was one person who initially wasn’t keen on William’s beard – his young daughter Princess Charlotte.
According to the Prince of Wales himself, nine-year-old Charlotte was in “floods” of tears when William first grew out his beard and he even shaved it off!
If she didn’t like it, it wouldn’t be there. I could tell you that!
During a South Africa trip in November 2024, William told reporters: “Well, Charlotte didn’t like it the first time. I got floods of tears, the first one I got tears, so I had to shave it off.”
However, he then thought about it and decided to grow it out again.
William said: “I thought, hang on a second, and I convinced her it was going to be okay.”

William and Kate’s ‘worries’ over their children behind the scenes
The Prince and Princess of Wales are also parents to their sons Prince George, 11, and Prince Louis, six.
According to Jason, William and Kate did have some concerns for their kids behind palace walls.
Whilst speaking to 60 Minutes Australia, Jason spoke about William growing up in front of the media.

He said: “His childhood in front of the media was quite difficult at times. And then he knew that he was going to be raising his kids to deal with social media and mobile phones and all of that stuff.
“I definitely saw the worried mum and dad behind the scenes, but a lot less in recent years, which has been fantastic for them as a family.”
