Queen Camilla welcomes rescue puppy months after death of her beloved dog Beth
Welcome to the royal family, Moley!Queen Camilla has welcomed a new puppy into her life, just months after the death of her beloved dog, Beth.
The queen’s Jack Russell Terrier, Beth, died back in November.

Queen Camilla welcomes new rescue puppy into the family
On February 25, Queen Camilla was in Canterbury, where she unveiled a statue of Canterbury-born writer Aphra Behn. She was the first woman to earn a wage as a professional writer.
She also visited The Beaney House of Art & Knowledge during her solo visit to the city.
It was during a meeting with a partially-sighted museum group that Camilla revealed that she’s welcomed a new dog into the family.
You may well ask. A bit of everything. It’s a rescue dog.
Bending down to stroke a golden retriever guide dog, she explained that she has got a new eight-week old puppy that looks “just like a mole”. It’s believed that Moley was born at Battersea Dogs and Cats Home on Boxing Day.
The queen was then asked what breed her new pup is.
“You may well ask. A bit of everything. It’s a rescue dog,” she then said. It is believed that Moley’s mother is half Jack Russell, half unknown. Moley’s father’s breed is unknown.
Camilla announces sad death of Beth
Back in November, Camilla announced that her dog, Beth, had sadly died.
Beth was a Jack Russell Terrier. It was reported that she had an untreatable tumour and had to be put down.
The official royal family Instagram announced the sad news and shared some heartwarming snaps of the little dog in action.
In one picture, Camilla can be seen out walking with Beth. In another, Beth and the queen spend some time with late TV presenter Paul O’Grady. A third snap shows Beth jumping up to nuzzle at the king.
“A sad farewell to Beth, the queen’s much-loved companion from @Battersea Dogs and Cats Home who brought such joy, whether on walkies, helping on official duties, or curled up by the fire,” the official account then captioned the post.

Prince Harry’s Invictus Games could clash with Camilla’s 80th birthday celebrations
In other Camilla-related news, the queen could have her 80th birthday upstaged by Prince Harry in 2027, one royal expert has speculated.
2027 will be a milestone birthday for Camilla. However, 2027 is also the year that the Invictus Games will take place in Birmingham.
Speaking exclusively to Royal Insider, royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams believes Harry’s Invictus Games could cause tension within the royal family if they clash with the queen’s birthday.
“Obviously we don’t know if the royal rift will have been healed wholly or partly by then [2027]. It is, nonetheless, the first time the games will have been held in July. It would surely have been tactful to choose another month,” he said.
“King Charles will not be pleased at this totally avoidable prospective clash which, needless to say, will be accompanied by enormous interest from the media,” he then added.
