4 similarities between Meghan Markle and Pamela Anderson's cooking shows amid backlash
With Love, Meghan premieres on Netflix on March 4Next week Meghan Markle will finally debut her Netflix lifestyle show, With Love Meghan, but now fans are accusing her of copying Pamela Anderson’s cooking show.
People online have insisted that there are a number of striking similarities between the two shows, and as former Baywatch actress Pamela, 57, announced hers first, it seems the blame has fallen on Meghan.
Pamela’s show, Cooking With Love, premiered on Flavour Network on Monday (February 24). But the trailer was released way back in October 2024 – three months before Meghan’s. From concepts to poses, let’s have a look at all of the similarities between the shows.
1. With Love, Meghan and Cooking with Love share similar name
Both shows happen to include the word ‘love’ in the titles, and in very similar ways. Meghan’s Netflix show is called With Love, Meghan. Meanwhile, Pamela’s cooking show is called Cooking with Love. So it’s not hard to see the connection.
However, it could just be that both women are extremely passionate about what they’re working on. And what better way to show it than using the word love?!
2. Concept and show guests
The actual content that will be in the shows is also extremely similar. Meghan, 43, will be teaming up with her Hollywood pals to bring tips and tricks for different hobbies, one main one: cooking.
In Pamela’s show, the actress teams up with a variety of influential chefs to develop plant-based menus, gather ingredients and prepare meals for her friends and family.
Both shows include creating meals for a garden party outside that is attended to by friends. Meghan’s Hollywood pal Mindy Kaling explained she and Meghan worked together to make a kids garden tea party.

3. Trailers for Meghan Markle and Pamela Anderson shows
It’s quite obvious that both women must have the same aesthetic for their shows – especially as the promotional photographs setup is basically the same.
Both women are in their garden, setting it up for one of their events. They’re also both seeing donning aprons and whipping up treats in the kitchen.
I just always have wanted to take things to another level.
Then when it comes to the short trailers, both start with very similar messages. Pamela’s opens saying: “I love to cook. I just always have wanted to take things to another level.”
Meanwhile, Meghan begins hers saying: “I have always loved taking something pretty ordinary and elevating it.”
4. New routes for both of them
Neither of the celebrities have ever gone down this avenue before and so by taking new steps, they are again following a similar path.
While both aren’t new to being on our TV screens, neither have ever gone down the road of creating their own lifestyle and cooking shows. Until now.
So the decision to make the move, just a few months after Pamela initially announced hers, is making fans question Meghan’s real motives.
Meghan accused of ‘copying’ Pamela with Netflix show
It didn’t take long for people online to begin calling Meghan out, accusing the 43-year-old of ‘copying’ the actress.
One fan wrote on X: “Meghan’s entire concept is strikingly similar to Pamela Anderson.”
Another penned: “Meghan’s Netflix show is a straight copy of Pamela Anderson’s cooking and entertainment show. Go take one look at the trailer!”
A third simply attached two clips of the trailers and wrote: “Do they sound the same to anyone else?”
However, some fans were quick to back Meghan, explaining that there are very few unique ways to do a show that follows that path.
A fan said: “They are literally two cooking shows. What more do people want?”
A second commented: “I’m going to be that person. But what do you expect? It’s a cooking show. Of course they all look the same. Let’s see, they are all cooking in their kitchen. Past that it’s not really a cooking show anymore. Only so many ways to do it.”
With Love, Meghan premieres on Netflix on March 4.
