Meghan Markle Netflix show blasted with negative reviews

Meghan Markle took to social media yesterday, March 4, amid the swirling feedback over her Netflix series With Love, Meghan.

The duchess, 43, looked chic as always as she sported a sleek, neutral outfit whilst posing for a video that she posted to her story.

Meghan could be seen turning and smiling at the camera whilst walking down a hallway at an undisclosed location.

She teased in a caption written alongside the clip: “Filmed something fun whilst in the city today…”

It seems Meghan is in New York, although exactly where she is and what she is up to is yet to be confirmed.

Meghan posted a video of her new show being splashed across an electronic billboard in Times Square, where she tagged her location, clearly taking a moment to soak in such a high-profile reaction.

Meghan Markle’s show given poor Rotten Tomatoes score

Although, things aren’t slowing down for Meghan and her projects continue to unfold, including the launch of her new lifestyle brand’s website, negativity surrounding her work has been taking centre stage.

At the time of writing, With Love, Meghan has a 12% rating from 250+ reviews on Rotten Tomatoes.

News outlets and social media platforms have been flooded with negative reviews of the series, with some criticising the duchess’ obvious privilege which is put on full display – from Meghan reportedly sporting over £300k of jewellery whilst cooking to the £5m Montecito mansion backdrop the programme is filmed at.

It seems royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams isn’t impressed by Meghan’s latest Netflix project and doesn’t have high hopes for her future projects.

He told Royal Insider: “It’s a real flop. It’s so self-congratulatory, so entitled, so silly. No A-listers, who might have given it a certain cachet, appear.

With Love, Meghan branded ‘horror’

“It’s luxurious, far beyond the reach of almost all viewers, but there’s no end to the hagiographic horror of it. [Prince Harry’s] series on Polo failed. Netflix will probably not think any links with the Sussexes are worth renewing after this.

“Who will stay with it, through all 8 episodes, one wonders?

The reviews are excoriating. She didn’t last 3 years as a royal.

“I don’t think after this and the controversies around As Ever, formerly American Riviera Orchard, that many will take her seriously.

“The reviews are excoriating. She didn’t last 3 years as a royal. She’s very much a B-list celebrity. What is she really good at?”

Unfortunately for Meghan, plenty of viewers agree. One penned on social media: “This is literally the most basic, uninspired content I’ve ever seen.

“My local grocery store makes better fruit rainbows. It’s not creative, it’s not original – it’s boring. And even worse is her insufferable banter. This show is going to suck.”

Another complained: “Giving up at episode 5. I truly tried but I wasted my life. Second jam parfait for dessert and fifth crudité platter. Netflix paid how much for this??”

Meghan Markle fans leave glowing reviews on social media

However, Meghan has equally garnered a flurry of positive feedback and has even made it into Netflix’s Top 10 shows today.

One glowing review online read: “Meghan Markle’s show is such a treat. It is [one] of those shows you watch for comfort, with your wine glass and dream.”

Another penned: “It’s a hit! Everyone is loving Princess Meghan’s new Netflix show With Love, Meghan. I’m so proud of her.”

“With Love, Meghan is truly the carefree and uplifting education I needed! Watching her do the simplest things so effortlessly is so empowering.

“What a breath of fresh Montecito air,” gushed a third.

So, have you been left refreshed by Meghan’s carefree attitude?
