Netflix renews With Love, Meghan for season 2 despite poor reviews

Meghan Markle made her television comeback earlier this week with her highly-anticipated lifestyle and cooking show. And despite the mixed reviews on Meghan’s show, it made it into the top 10 on Netflix – although it quickly left the list too.
So now that it’s out in the world and Netflix has partnered up with the duchess on her As Ever brand, is there any chance we will get another season?
Well, Netflix has already renewed the show for another series!
Will With Love, Meghan return for a season 2?
Netflix has announced the news that With Love, Meghan will be back later this year for another series.
Back in 2020, Meghan and Prince Harry signed a five-year deal with the streaming giant. Over the years, they have released mini documentaries on the platform, detailing their time in the royal family.
But With Love, Meghan may have been the most anticipated release of their deal thanks to Meghan’s promotional campaign, and the launch of her Instagram account.
The early ratings suggest it may be a struggle to secure a renewal.
This year marks the fifth year of their deal. However, Netflix was recently announced as a business partner in Meghan’s lifestyle brand.
Despite reviews suggesting that Meghan is ‘trying too hard’, the streaming giant has renewed the show for a second series.
Netflix renews With Love, Meghan
Today (March 7), Netflix announced another series of With Love, Meghan will air this autumn.
A source has told The Sun: “This may raise a few eyebrows but one thing which Netflix love is controversy – and this show certainly created a lot of debate.
“Many were so scathing about the eight-part series that they thought there was no way it would get another season.
“But it seems the streamer is delighted with the chatter its created on both sides of the Atlantic this week.”

Latest odds on a new season of Meghan Markle’s cooking show
Meanwhile, speaking exclusively to Royal Insider, Lee Astley, spokesperson for Card Player, gave us the odds on a renewal for the show.
Lee explained: “Meghan Markle’s star power and global appeal generated plenty of initial buzz around her new series With Love, Meghan. The early ratings suggest it may be a struggle to secure a renewal.
“We have priced the series at 3/1 odds to be renewed for a second season. But it’s at a short 1/4 to be axed after its debut.”
