Prince William makes remark about woman's hair on royal engagement as she's taken aback
The Prince of Wales made a joke about his own hair...Prince William left a woman giggling as he made a comment about her hair during a royal engagement this week.
The Prince of Wales, 42, cracked a joke about his own hair during a walkabout on Tuesday (March 11). He was visiting the Sporting Khalsa Football Club at Aspray Arena in the West Midlands.
As he met well-wishers in the crowd, one woman with bright red hair caught Prince William‘s attention.

The woman had a shorter hairstyle and it was dyed bright red. Prince William exclaimed: “Your hair! It’s fantastic!”
As the crowd giggled and the woman looked taken aback, William added: “I wish I had hair like that! You look amazing. I’ve lost the chance.”
William and the woman then took a selfie as he shook her hand.
I love how William is so at ease with his own skin that he can joke about his hair.
Royal fans shared a clip online showing the moment and many were amused by William’s joke about his own hair. One person said on X: “I love how William is so at ease with his own skin that he can joke about his hair and no awkwardness there.”
Another wrote: “Aw he is just so funny. I love that he made sure the lady had the selfie! Simply the best.”

Prince William winning over fans with his new beard
The Prince of Wales has had many hairstyles over the years since he was a young child. But in recent years, his hair has become noticeably thinner.

While fans are loving the look, Prince William revealed his beard left his daughter Princess Charlotte in tears at first!
While speaking during a South Africa trip in November 2024, William told reporters: “Well, Charlotte didn’t like it the first time. I got floods of tears, the first one I got tears, so I had to shave it off.
“I thought, hang on a second, and I convinced her it was going to be okay.”

William’s hair has been a topic of conversation for many years. His younger brother Prince Harry, 40, has even weighed in!
