Royal fans think they’ve spotted a gift the late Queen Elizabeth II gave Prince Archie a few years ago in a recent Instagram video.

On Monday (March 17), Meghan Markle gave royal fans an adorable glance at Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet in a new video on her Instagram.

The Duchess of Sussex, 43, and her children were seen using a waffle maker. Fans think the special gift was from the late Queen Elizabeth II.

Meghan Markle shares new video of Archie and Lilibet making waffles on Instagram

In a new video on her Instagram, Meghan Markle shared some videos of herself and the kids making waffles to celebrate St Patrick’s Day.

My grandmother asked us what Archie wanted for Christmas, and Meg said a waffle maker.

The first video showed Meghan stirring a green mixture in a bowl as music played in the background. “About this morning…” she captioned the video.

The next video showed Meghan pouring the green mixture onto a waffle maker. The following clip showed Meghan yelping in alarm as a bit of the green mixture seeped out of the waffle maker.

The fourth clip gave fans a brief look at one of the kid’s green waffle mixture in a bowl, whilst the fifth clip showed Meghan decorating the green waffles with whipped cream as hair, blueberries as eyes and kiwi as a mouth.

This gave the waffles the look of an old woman with curly white hair, looking surprised!

“For the kids,” she captioned the clip.

The duchess then shared a snap of her and Prince Harry’s waffles. The green waffles were served with a strawberry and some whipped cream on the side. The duchess had also made a green smoothie to go with the sweet treat.

“…and us! Happy St. Patrick’s Day!” she captioned the snap.

Queen Elizabeth II gave waffle maker to Archie as gift

The waffle maker used by Meghan and the kids features prominently in the videos, and there may well be some special significance behind it.

Though it hasn’t been officially confirmed, the waffle maker could well be the one that the late Queen Elizabeth gifted Prince Archie for Christmas back in 2020!

Prince Harry spoke about the late queen’s gift for his son during an appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden in 2021.

“My grandmother asked us what Archie wanted for Christmas, and Meg said a waffle maker,” he said.

“She sent us a waffle maker for Archie. So breakfast now, Meg makes up a beautiful organic mix and throws it in the waffle iron,” he then continued.

When asked whether Archie likes the waffle maker, Harry said: “He loves it.”

“Archie wakes up in the morning and literally just goes, ‘Waffle?’,” he then added.

Royal fans think the waffle maker is the queen’s gift for Archie too. One person said on X: “Prince Harry’s wife Meghan on her Insta story making green waffles for Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, in what seem to be the waffle maker gifted to Archie by Queen Elizabeth after she heard of how much he loves waffles.”

Another wrote: “Is this not the waffle maker that Queen Elizabeth sent to her great-grandson, Prince Archie? Her legacy lives on.”

Meanwhile, someone else tweeted: “This must be the waffle machine Harry said Queen Elizabeth bought for Archie for Christmas, he shared this on James Corden’s show!”
