Meghan Markle took to social media this week to share a young throwback snap from her high school days.
The Duchess of Sussex, 43, looked very different in the photo taken when she was just a teenager.

Meghan Markle shares young throwback high school photo
The former actress and now duchess took to Instagram to reminisce about her younger days, featuring a photo where she could be seen sporting a floral summer dress and a headband whilst posing by a statue of Mary and baby Jesus.
She penned alongside the photo: “When your dear friend from middle school/high school sends you something from your alma mater and it brings the biggest smile to your face. Go Pandas. Thanks Sush xo.”
In the photo, Meghan could be seen beaming and although she is immediately recognisable in the photo, she looked dramatically younger and less poised than typical snaps of the duchess now.

A young Meghan Markle looked overjoyed with her hands clasped together in the shot, her eyes squeezed closed and a big smile on her face as she stood in a garden.
Meghan’s former school, Immaculate Heart, recently praised Meghan’s achievements whilst sharing the photo. They stated on social media: “Congratulations to IH alumna Meghan Markle (’99) on the renewal of her Netflix series and launch of her new podcast!”

They continued: “We’re delighted to share a special throwback photo from her time at Immaculate Heart, honouring our cherished tradition of Mary’s Day, a reflection of our legacy of sisterhood, support and Panda spirit.
“As we begin preparations for this year’s Mary’s Day celebration, we proudly carry forward the traditions that make our school community so special!”

The comment section also raked in some gushing support for the duchess. One penned: “Lovely picture of our wonderful duchess Meghan. Enjoy the celebrations.”

Meghan Markle previously returned to the high school she attended when she was younger in 2022 for an episode of her podcast Archetypes.
“Oh, my gosh. How funny. My locker was right over here,” she said in the episode. “I was somewhere smack in the middle. I don’t remember because these are your lockers when you’re in high school and the middle school lockers were up there.”
She went on to say: “You’ve heard me talk about Immaculate Heart on the series before and the influence it’s had on my life. And look I was there from ages… about 12 to 17, which are really formative years in your life – they certainly were for me.”
