King Charles spotted with ‘injury’ on his finger during appearance with Queen Camilla
The king and queen are on a trip to Northern IrelandKing Charles was spotted with a finger injury as he left England to travel to Northern Ireland this week.
King Charles, alongside Queen Camilla, headed to Northern Ireland to meet with local communities and business owners. A trip which continues today (March 20).
The king, 76, took some time out of working life last year as he faced his own cancer journey, which he is still receiving treatment for, at the same time as his daughter-in-law Princess Kate. Kate is now in remission.
Both royals have been attending many engagements this year, including those they had to miss in 2024.

King Charles shows ‘injured finger’ during Northern Ireland trip
The king and queen’s official visit to Northern Ireland saw them visit Belfast’s Commercial Court. Then they headed to the Sea Holly Gallery, before heading to the Newforge complex which houses conference and sporting facilities.
While Charles visited the Newforge, Camilla headed to a community centre in Lisburn, ATLAS (Adult Training Learning and Support) which supports women.
However, as the pair were leaving England, King Charles could be seen with an injured finger. On the index finger of his right hand, there was a bandage wrapped around.
It is not known how King Charles injured his finger at the point. But the monarch is known for his active lifestyle including country walks and gardening. So, an injury would be easy to get.

King Charles’ ‘sausage fingers’
The king’s fingers have been the topic of conversation quite a lot over the years, as many believe he has “sausage fingers” – something which even he has joked about.
During rehearsals for his coronation, Prince William struggled to fasten a ceremonial robe. King Charles told him not to worry as he doesn’t have “sausage fingers” like his dad.
However, this contrasts something Charles reportedly wrote to a friend at the time of William’s birth in 1982. It’s believed he said: “He really does look surprisingly appetising and has sausage fingers like mine.”
The king is no stranger to injuries due to his polo activities in his youth. One required him to get six stitches on his cheek after being thrown and kicked by his horse during a match at Windsor.
Charles and Camilla’s time in Northern Ireland isn’t the only trip they have coming up, as they prepare to spend their wedding anniversary in Italy.

Charles and Camilla’s trip to Italy during 20th wedding anniversary
Next month, Charles and Camilla will head for a royal tour in Italy coinciding with their 20th wedding anniversary.
On April 9 2005, Charles and Camilla tied the knot in a civil ceremony at Windsor Guildhall.
Now, the palace has given an update on what to expect from their Italy trip, including watching a flypast in Rome.
It’s believed they will visit the Holy See and the Republic of Italy from April 7 to April 10. During their time there they will spend time with Pope Francis – the head of the Catholic Church and sovereign of the Vatican City State.
Along with this, they will also attend a service in the Sistine Chapel to reflect on the king’s commitment to nature.
In Rome, King Charles will become the first British monarch to address a joint session of the Italian Parliament. The royal couple will then travel to Ravenna, where they will mark the 80th anniversary of the province’s liberation by Allied forces.
It looks to be a busy month for the couple!
