Prince William makes sweet comment about daughter Princess Charlotte during Estonia trip

The Prince of Wales, 42, has reportedly been gifted a friendship bracelet on his first day in Estonia.

It’s a bracelet that he joked will likely soon belong to his daughter.

She loves these friendship bracelets. Thank you very much, I like the Ukrainian colours.

Prince William received the gift whilst visiting a school in the small country.

He joked after receiving the gift that Princess Charlotte will “probably poach it off me”.

William added: “She loves these friendship bracelets. Thank you very much, I like the Ukrainian colours. Thank you, that’s very kind.”

The future monarch had a go at basketball as he visited The Freedom School on his second engagement of the day today, March 20.

The school in question was on the royal’s list of visits due to it being founded by the Ministry of Education and Research of Estonia to support the children of refugees from Ukraine in 2022.

Prince William’s trip to Estonia

William kicked off his first ever trip to Estonia by meeting the country’s president, Alar Karis.

He has visited Estonia to show support for UK troops guarding NATO’s border with Russia.

William has spent his first day in Tallinn, where he was welcomed to the Presidential Palace by a group of kindergarten children.

Prince of Wales gushes over visiting the country

The prince’s visit reportedly took six months to plan. Ultimately, it has come at a time of heightened fears around security in Estonia – consequently, a result of the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.

The Prince and Princess of Wales have shown strong support for Ukraine in wake of the ongoing conflict. Prince William will see on his visit how the small nation of Estonia has done their bit in support of Ukraine, by taking in an estimated 60,000 refugees – the equivalent of the UK taking in three million refugees.

Ahead of his solo adventure, the prince penned on social media: “Great to be visiting Estonia for the first time! Looking forward to an exciting two days here, both in beautiful Tallinn and visiting British troops at Tapa camp tomorrow.”

Prince William wasn’t only gifted with a friendship bracelet on his visit today. The royal also received a cuddly dog called Lotte – the name of one of Estonia’s most famous children’s stories.

Additionally, he was also given a card to give to Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

How sweet!
