Moment Prince Andrew ‘lost his temper' over collection of his teddy bears, new book claims
The royal was stripped of his military titles in 2022 amid much scandal
Claims have emerged alleging that Prince Andrew was pretty protective over his teddy bears. So much so, he reportedly even lost his temper over his beloved stuffed toys.
The Duke of York, 64, has been embroiled in swirling allegations over his behaviour in recent years. Undoubtedly triggered by allegations of sexual assault by Virginia Giuffre – accusations he’s always denied – the scandal led to his resignation from public roles and the stripping of his royal titles.
Now, other claims have emerged in a new royal book. This is what a former palace aide reportedly alleges…

Prince Andrew’s ‘outbursts’ over teddy bear collection
Prince Andrew has been the topic of speculation for several years. His alleged friendship with late convicted sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein and the subsequent furore caused by the allegations of assault against him has changed his reputation with the public forever.
Not only have these allegations swarmed Andrew, his supposed eccentric habits have sparked discomfort among many royal observers.
He gets very cross if it’s not done properly.
“He is quite eccentric. And he has a collection of teddy bears which he insists are placed every day in a certain position… a pyramid shape,” royal author Tom Quinn told Fox News Digital.
“Various members of staff who’ve worked for him have told me this is very typical of him,” Quinn added. “And he gets very cross if it’s not done properly. He really doesn’t do anything for himself.”
Quinn detailed how Andrew has “a member of staff who puts the teddy bears in order”. He continued: “If they’re not placed exactly as he wants, he can be quite short-tempered and angry about it.”
He also explained that the prince “clings” to staff members who do the organising properly.
In his new book, Yes, Ma’am: The Secret Life of Royal Servants, Quinn discusses the teddy bear collection in more detail.

Duke of York ‘behaved as if his staff were stupid,’ book claims
In the book, Quinn writes: “Andrew often behaved as if his staff were irritatingly stupid and this was particularly true with his little quirks – famously, he has his collection of teddy bears lined up in order on his bed every day.
“If anything is out of place he loses his temper. So much so that a particular maid was assigned each day to arrange the teddies because she tended to get it right and Andrew liked her.”

Prince Andrew allegations
The royal stepped down from his royal duties in November 2019. He did so following his controversial BBC Newsnight interview and association with Epstein.
Prince Andrew also had all of his military titles and royal patronages removed by his mother Queen Elizabeth II in 2022 after he settled a civil sexual assault case out of court with his accuser, Virginia Giuffre.
Quinn’s exposure of Andrew’s reported eccentric behaviour comes just weeks after the prince was accused of inappropriate behaviour by a former masseuse.
The masseuse claimed she was booked by Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s confidante, to give Andrew a massage back in 2000. She claimed that Andrew entered the room and stripped fully naked in front of her and “showed a complete disregard for my professionalism”.
