Prince William sparks gasps from crowd during Estonia trip as he suffers blunder with royal fan
The Prince of Wales is in Estonia for two daysPrince William sparked some gasps from royal fans during his Estonia trip this week following a gaffe.
The Prince of Wales, 42, is in Estonia to show his support for troops on the NATO frontline near the border with Russia.
On Thursday (March 20), Prince William was seen greeting members of the public who had gathered. But he suffered an awkward blunder when taking some selfies.

On Thursday, Prince William met with well-wishers outside the Estonian Cleantech Association in Tallinn. The association is leading the charge in developing innovative solutions to combat climate change.
But before his visit, William enjoyed some moments with fans who had gathered in the area.
I think it was an amazing opportunity to meet somebody from the royal family in Estonia – it was really cool.
However, he suffered a gaffe when taking a selfie with one fan. In a video, which you can see here, William is seen taking the phone off the fan and lifting it up to capture a selfie.
But something appears to drop from his hand and onto the floor. The crowd is heard gasping as William quickly picks up the item.
According to reports, the item could have been a phone charger – not the actual phone. Phew!

Prince William wins over well-wishers with behaviour in Estonia
Some members of the public gushed to reporters over meeting William this week.
Julius Lwanga told reporters, according to the MailOnline: “I asked for his autograph and he said he wouldn’t sing my book but would pose for a selfie. I feel over awed I’m going to the pub for a drink.”
Meanwhile, Jevgenia Hammerberg gushed: “I’m quite a fan of the royal family, I like the traditions and history not just the dresses of Kate Middleton.
“I think it was an amazing opportunity to meet somebody from the royal family in Estonia – it was really cool.”

Prince of Wales reveals daughter Princess Charlotte is big fan of ‘friendship bracelets’
Elsewhere on his Estonia trip, Prince William made a sweet admission about his daughter Princess Charlotte, nine.
The prince was reportedly gifted a friendship bracelet on his first day in Estonia. He joked after receiving the gift that Princess Charlotte will “probably poach it off me”.
William added: “She loves these friendship bracelets. Thank you very much, I like the Ukrainian colours. Thank you, that’s very kind.”
