Kate Middleton's simple and laid back Mother's Day 'plans' after Photoshop blunder
Hopefully a less drama-filled celebration this year...Princess Kate Middleton came under a bit of fire last Mother’s Day following something of a Photoshop blunder.
The Princess of Wales, 43, released a family photo on Mother’s Day last year – however, fans were quick to point out some errors, in a discourse that quickly snowballed…

Kate Middleton’s Photoshop blunder
On Mother’s Day last year, Kate Middleton released a photo of herself, George, Charlotte, and Louis on Instagram.
At first glance, the adorable photo showed the Waleses sharing a laugh together out in the garden of their home.
However, on closer inspection, fans began to notice a series of mistakes and oddities in the photo that could only point to one thing – it had been edited.
Some of the mistakes included one of Kate’s hands being blurry, Charlotte’s left arm being partially missing, and Kate’s hair being slightly out of focus in parts.
At this point, we didn’t know that the reason behind Kate’s public absence was due to her cancer battle.
Speculation and rumours went into overdrive until the Princess of Wales was forced to clear things up and explain that it was her who had edited the photos.

Princess Kate Middleton’s Mother’s Day plans this year
Now, in a chat with The Mirror, royal expert Jennie Bond has shared her predictions for what Kate and family will get up to this Mother’s Day.
“I’m sure the whole family will be wanting to erase the memory of last year’s Mothers’ Day. And it will be interesting to see whether she releases another card this time. I think she will,” she said.
The expert added the day falls at the start of the school break, so it’ll mean more time spent with the kids. Likely ‘as much outdoor activity as possible’, in the form of bike rides, games, picnics and walks.
Jennie then said that she believes the children will be making Kate some hand-written cards. They will also give her some gifts to make her feel pampered.

‘Simple’ day with her children
Jennie then continued.
“We know William thinks his wife has been amazing in the past year, and I’m sure he’ll want to let her know that she’s a fantastic mum. So I can envisage a tasty, home-cooked, healthy breakfast in bed for Catherine, with some flowers from the garden and perhaps some of her own homemade jam! And then a day of simple family fun. Of course Catherine will also want to use the day to thank her own mother for all that she has done during the past year,” she said.
Jennie then added that Kate’s mother, Carole Middleton, could join the family to spend Mother’s Day together.
But whether she joins or not, Jennie predicts that everyone will want to “make a fuss” of Kate this year.
