Prince William had a hilarious message for Kaleb Cooper, star of Clarkson’s Farm, sent directly from his son George.

Yesterday (March 26) William travelled to Bristol to attend an event for 60 members of the Duchy of Cornwall’s next generation of farming tenants. It was announced that William is the new patron of the We Are Farming Minds, a charity working to smash stigmas around mental health in the farming community.

But at the recent event, Prince William, who is expected to appear on an episode of Clarkson’s Farm, provided a hilarious insight to his oldest son’s George TV habits, and gave Kaleb Cooper a message.

He met with Kaleb outside, and he admitted that even George, who is 11 years old, has been watching the show.

Speaking to Kaleb, William told him that George had one request for the upcoming episodes.

According to Hello Magazine, he said: “You have got George watching it now. I said to him: ‘What shall I say if I meet Kaleb?’. He said: ‘Tell Kaleb to mind his language’.”

After they met with the Prince, Kaleb, alongside his Clarkson’s Farm co-host, Charlie Ireland, spoke about their happiness at hearing what William had to say.

Charlie admitted: “It’s great because it is meant to bring everyone together, isn’t it. On the family sofa.”

Kaleb joked about George’s comments. He said: “I did get told off for swearing too much. I tried to stop, but at the same time, it’s awesome. That is what I like about the whole show. I have had so many people thanking me, going ‘ you brought the family together’. It’s a great feeling.”

On the same visit, William reunited with BBC’s Countryfile presenter, Vick Hope, who was recording a special mental health-focussed episode.

William reminded her the last time they had met was in Birmingham on a Radio One interview, where he made an embarrassing confession.

Vick said: “Yes, it was. You mentioned the aubergine emoji was your favourite.”

The 44-year-old prince replied, laughing: “It felt like the right environment to do it. Not sure, maybe today.”

Prince William on his new patron role

As the new patron of the We Are Farming minds charity, William spoke about the efforts made to de-stigmatise mental health issues.

He said: “Unfortunately, it is probably going to be generational. So, with a lot of the work and research we have done, it will take a generation to fix this. But I do think we are headed in the right way, and I am excited by that journey and progress.”

William also made sure to put emphasis on taking breaks from the digital world, and switching off.

The prince said: “I worry about how much we are on our phones and data. First thing you are doing when you wake up in the morning and the last thing you do at night – check phones.

“We have got to get out of that habit, because mentally, that is not good for all of us. Your brain is not resting.”
