Meghan Markle fans outraged Prince William is teaming up with Jeremy Clarkson
Jeremy Clarkson wrote a scathing column about Meghan
Prince William is facing backlash from Meghan Markle fans after it was revealed that he is set to appear in an episode of Clarkson’s Farm, the hit Amazon Prime series hosted by Jeremy Clarkson.
Jeremy was widely criticised for publishing a vile column targeting the Duchess of Sussex in 2022.
The Prince of Wales visited Diddly Squat Farm in Oxfordshire this week. He met with Kaleb Cooper, one of the show’s breakout stars.
William, 41, revealed that his son, Prince George, is a fan of the series and passed along a cheeky message. “I said to him, ‘What shall I say if I meet Kaleb?’ He said, ‘Tell Kaleb to mind his language.'”
But the lighthearted moment was quickly overshadowed when news broke that William is expected to appear in an upcoming episode of the show. The move sparked fury among Meghan’s fans, who see the move as a betrayal.

“Shame on Prince William”
Meghan supporters flooded social media with criticism. They accused the future king of aligning himself with someone who once publicly fantasised about Meghan being paraded naked through the streets while being pelted with excrement.
“Shame on Prince William for doing a show with Jeremy Clarkson after the nasty and vile things he said about his brother’s wife,” one user wrote.
“It’s a slap in the face for Meghan Markle,” another agreed.
“William knows and is openly supporting him. Vile,” a user responded.
“By doing so, William is indirectly endorsing Clarkson’s remarks,” someone else added.
Others called the move “gross and disgusting”. They questioned how William, a patron of anti-bullying causes, could align with someone who has been widely condemned for misogyny and hate rhetoric.

Jeremy Clarkson targets Meghan Markle in column
The controversy traces back to Jeremy’s 2022 column in The Sun. The presenter wrote that he dreamed of the day Meghan would be “made to parade naked through the streets of every town in Britain while crowds chant ‘Shame!’ and throw lumps of excrement at her.”
The column received more than 25,000 complaints. This made it the most complained-about article in UK press regulator IPSO’s history.
IPSO later ruled that the article was sexist and degrading. They stated that it contained “a pejorative and prejudicial reference to the duchess’s sex.”
Jeremy eventually apologised. He also claimed that he wrote the piece in a hurry and failed to reference the Game of Thrones scene he was allegedly inspired by.
“I couldn’t believe what I was reading. Had I really said that? It was horrible.” He said in a statement. Jeremy later revealed that he sent a private email to Prince Harry apologising for his language.
However, the Sussexes dismissed the apology.
A spokesperson at the time said: “It is clear that this is not an isolated incident shared in haste. But rather a series of articles shared in hate.”
The appearance with Jeremy is even more controversial given the royal family’s public silence on the original article, despite the international outrage it sparked.
Prince Harry criticised both Jeremy and the royal family for not denouncing the remarks at the time.
