A new photo of Princess Beatrice‘s premature baby daughter, Athena, has been spotted in the royal’s latest update.
The princess recently opened up about how her daughter, whom she shares with husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, was born several weeks early.
Three months on, Beatrice has discussed just how difficult she has found welcoming Athena Elizabeth Rose Mapelli Mozzi, earlier than she expected.
New snap of Princess Beatrice’s daughter spotted
In an essay published in Vogue on March 23, the princess admitted that “nothing quite prepares you for the moment when you realise your baby is going to arrive early”.
The mum-of-two detailed how “so little control” of the situation she felt, whilst enduring an “overwhelming fear of the unknown”.
“Will she arrive healthy? Will there be complications? How will you juggle the rest of family life while trying to keep a tiny human safe and well?” she asked herself at the time.
Beatrice went on to movingly pen: “You know that when your baby arrives the doctors and midwives are going to be there, doing everything they can to ensure she makes it through those challenging first few days.
“But you have no idea how these things will play out, what happens next.”

Princess Beatrice’s latest project
Despite going through such a trying time, Beatrice is using her experience for good.
She has teamed up with business owner Alice Naylor-Leyland to launch a baby shower collection to raise money for Borne, a charity of which the princess is a patron.
Naylor-Leyland shared a string of snaps on Instagram displaying the new collection and announcing the collaboration.
She wrote:”It has been both a pleasure & a great honour working with my dear friend Princess Beatrice on our new Baby Shower Collection in aid of @bornecharity.
“I’m so proud of the awareness @beayork has brought to Premature Birth & I’m delighted we were able to create this together celebrating both Motherhood & Friendship.”

Amid the eye-catching displays featuring flower arrangements, stork statues and lamps in the shape of hot-air balloons, a framed photo of baby Athena could be seen.
It seems the image isn’t one we have seen before and Athena can be seeing swaddled in a pink blanket whilst snuggling up beside a pink bunny rabbit toy.
In the images, Beatrice could be seen beaming whilst sporting a blue dress.
It seems fans are impressed, with plenty flocking to social media to gush over Beatrice’s latest work.
One penned: “Such a beautiful cause and perfect teamwork.”
Another chimed in: “Absolutely incredible! Gorgeous table, gorgeous ladies, an amazing cause – an all around triumph!”
