Perfumes loved by the royal family
According to a number of fashion publications including Marie Claire, Kate Middleton’s favourite perfume is Jo Malone London Orange Blossom Cologne.
Not only is this said to be the Princess of Wales’ signature scent.
Furthermore, reports claim she added a special touch to her wedding day by having lit candles infused with the scent lining the aisle of Westminster Abbey.
The perfume is described as a “shimmering garden oasis” where ‘clementine flower sparkles over a heart of orange blossom and water lily, with warm undertones of orris and balsamic vetiver’.

It sounds idyllic!
It is no surprise that the theme of equestrian even carries through to Princess Anne’s signature fragrance. The Princess Royal is reportedly a huge fan of Hermès Calèche.
This scent is made by fashion brand Hermès, which boasts equestrian heritage. The fashion house was originally founded in 1837 as a workshop specialising in luxury leather harnesses for carriages.
Even now, the brand is often adorned with their logo featuring a horse and carriage. Evidently, this is right up equestrian Olympian Anne’s street.

The perfume bottle even boasts a black cap, reminiscent of a riding hat.
Whilst the name of the fragrance “refers to the horse-drawn carriages that are emblematic of the house.”
It is said to boast a “joyfulness of citrus fruit” blended with “the modernity of aldehyde notes” as well as “a floral heart embellished with ylang-ylang, rose and jasmine to the woody, chypre sillage underscored by the nobility of the iris.”
Most loved royal family perfumes: Princess Diana’s signature scent
Princess Diana is said to have worn a number of fragrances.
In Prince Harry’s autobiography, Spare, he mentioned First by Van Cleef & Arpels as the scent he most associated with his mother.
The fragrance is described as a “magnificent floral bouquet of jasmine”.
It is punctuated with “aromas of citrus fruits, spring and exotic flowers and woody scents”.
Princess Diana was also said to be fond of Penhaligon’s Bluebell.
This perfume boasts a very regal glass bottle trimmed with a blue bow.

Penhaligon’s website describes: “If you go down to the woods today… a fragrant carpet of bluebells awaits. Breathe deep. Citrus, hyacinth, clove. An eau de toilette reminiscent of childhood escapades in the fresh, dewy spring.”
Another floral scent associated with the late princess is said to be Houbiquant’s Quelques Fleurs, which she wore on her wedding day to Prince Charles in 1981.
“Created by Perfumer Bienaimé in 1912, Quelques Fleurs was the first true multi-floral bouquet ever created. A blend of soft, sensual flowers, containing six absolutes. With a floral heart, the top notes of bergamot, galbanum, tarragon and lemon are carried by a base of oakmoss absolute, sandalwood, civet, cedarwood, musk, orris and Tonka bean,” explains Liberty London.
Duchess Sophie’s ‘sensual’ wedding day scent
Duchess Sophie also has a signature scent which she even wore on her wedding day.
Ralph Lauren’s Romance perfume is said to be a favourite of the Duchess of Edinburgh.
The scent is described as “timeless, feminine and romantic”. It is said to have a “sensual” combination of “velvety woods with beautiful floral notes”.

Now we definitely want to give it a try!
According to reports, Queen Camilla’s favorite scent is Bandit by Robert Piguet. The scent is said to have notes of aldehydes, galbanum, and neroli at the top.
It is combined with middle notes of carnation, jasmine, and violet and finished with base notes of oakmoss, leather, vetiver, and patchouli.

The brand described the fragrance as “daring,” making it ideal for when the Queen wishes to stand out.
Queen Elizabeth II’s favourite fragrance
Meanwhile, Queen Elizabeth II is said to have exclusively got her perfumes from Floris of London. White Rose was allegedly her favourite and according to Floris of London, this scent was also favoured by Florence Nightingale.

Floris of London describes White Rose as: “Sparkling with an unexpected splash of cool iris, wrapped in warm amber and rich, earthy musk.”
Meghan Markle’s favourite perfumes
Meghan Markle is said to also enjoy floral fragrances, with Jo Malone’s Wild Bluebell one of her favourites.
It is described as “the delicate sweetness of dewy bluebells suffused with lily of the valley and eglantine, and a luscious twist of persimmon”.
The Duchess of Sussex is reportedly also fond of Wood Sage & Sea Salt by Jo Malone.
Meghan has also previously praised Oribe Côte d’Azur Eau de Parfum.

She told Express: “I alternate between a few scents. I love Oribe Côte d’Azur Eau de Parfum and both the Wild Bluebell and Wood Sage & Sea Salt Colognes by Jo Malone.”
Oribe Côte d’Azur Eau de Parfum boasts notes of lemon, orange, bergamot, black currant, tuberose, cyclamen, and jasmine.
The duchess loves perfume so much, she is said to not leave the house without it.
Therefore, she has previously explained: “Fragrance is my favourite thing – so much so that if I leave the house and I don’t put any on, I’ll turn around and go back home.”
