Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis set for 'big royal appearance' in just weeks
Senior royals are set for the high-profile event next month
Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis will reportedly make a high-profile royal appearance alongside King Charles and Queen Camilla on May 8, as the nation comes together to commemorate the 80th anniversary of VE Day.
The king, 76, will apparently join his immediate family on the Buckingham Palace balcony following a military procession and spectacular flypast featuring both historic and modern aircraft, including the RAF Red Arrows.
Reports claim the children of the Prince and Princess of Wales – Prince George, 11, Charlotte, who turns 10 on May 2, and Louis, who will then be seven – will appear alongside their parents.

Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis set for VE Day appearance, reports claim
“His Majesty is dedicated to bringing his family and the country together in honour of Britain’s war dead and recreating the sense of community that came with the celebrations to mark VE Day,” a source told the Mirror‘s royal editor Russell Myers.
“The four days of commemorations will be a fantastic opportunity for the country to unite for such a special occasion, 80 years after victory was declared in Europe.”
The king, who continues to undergo cancer treatment, reportedly wants to show strength and unity.

He will join Queen Camilla and other senior royals. Other guests will include the Prince and Princess of Wales, Princess Anne and Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence. The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh and their children will also attend, the report claims.
Victory in Europe (VE) Day falls on Thursday, May 8. It marks the Allied victory over Nazi Germany and the official end of the Second World War in Europe.
This year’s commemorations will begin on Monday, May 5. They will span four days of national and international remembrance.
Events will include a military procession from Whitehall to Buckingham Palace. The royal family will make a balcony appearance. Meanwhile, a VE Day 80 concert will also take place.
The concert will also be broadcast live on BBC One from 8pm (GMT) on May 8.

VE Day celebrations
Following a challenging year for the monarchy, the anniversary events will prove a powerful display of resilience.
“It is absolutely right that we ensure that the stories of those who lived through and fought in the Second World War are remembered by generations to come,” Culture Secretary Lisa Nandy said.
“We will bring to life the stories of those no longer with us. So that the next generation is able to honour their sacrifice.”
More than 12,500 people, including veterans, military personnel, youth organisations and students, will attend the VE Day 80 concert.
As part of the VE Day 80 programme, international commemorations will also take place in Hong Kong, Singapore and Thailand.
George, Charlotte and Louis have often joined their parents for big royal events, including Trooping the Colour which airs annually in June. It marks the monarch’s official birthday.
Hopefully we’ll see them at this year’s ceremony too!
