Tobias Kormind, MD and Co-Founder of 77 Diamonds, has had his say on Queen Camilla’s lavish pieces.

Kormind also shed light on Camilla’s unusual decision not to sport a tiara at the banquet.

He detailed: “Queen Camilla’s decision not to wear a tiara to the Italian State Banquet is an interesting choice. While tiaras are traditionally worn at state banquets, especially by senior royal women, her decision not to wear one is a thoughtful and intentional gesture. Reflecting her modern approach to royal fashion.”

He continued: “In this instance, Camilla opted for a more understated, elegant look with careful attention to detail in her selection of jewellery as she celebrates her 20th wedding anniversary to King Charles.”

Kormind also commented on Camilla’s “thoughtful tribute to her father’s family” by wearing a unique turquoise and diamond necklace, from whom she acquired the necklace.

“It is also a romantic gesture to her husband, as she wore the necklace to one of her first public appearances, King Charles’ 50th birthday at Highgrove,” Kormind explained.

He also went on to point out Camilla’s consideration when choosing what to compliment the glittering necklace with.

He said: “Although the necklace has a matching set of earrings, it appears that Camilla has chosen to style the necklace with a pair of diamond and pearl earrings instead.”

Queen Camilla wore a striking ensemble at the black tie event. Her outfit comprised of a green lace gown by Fiona Clare and a turquoise and diamond necklace that belonged to her late mother, Rosalind Shand.

Not only did Camilla pay tribute to her mother and father by sporting the vivid necklace, she honoured her bond with her husband.

Camilla wore a pair of sparkling diamond earrings that are said to have been picked out from a suite of diamonds that were reportedly a wedding gift from Charles.

The family gestures didn’t end there…

During the banquet, Camilla also wore a string of Cartier Art Deco diamond bracelets.

These pieces were once gifted to the Queen Mother, Charles’ grandmother, by her husband, George VI, in the early 1920s.

Queen Camilla has also paid tribute to her late mother-in-law during the trip, by sporting an eye-catching blue brooch.

This brooch is known as the Prince Albert brooch. It once belonged to Queen Victoria before it was handed down through generations of royals.

Reports claim it even inspired Kate Middleton’s iconic sapphire and diamond engagement ring, first given to Princess Diana by Charles.

Queen Elizabeth II regularly wore the brooch. She received the piece when she ascended to the throne in 1952.
