Prince Harry makes unannounced visit to Ukraine as he's branded 'dumb as a rock'
The Duke of Sussex met with war victims and veteransPrince Harry is facing the wrath of Piers Morgan, again, following his surprise visit to Ukraine this week.
This week, the Duke of Sussex has been in the UK for his legal battle over his security and protection. When he stepped back from a working royal, the prince lost his right to automatic high-level police protection whilst in Britain.
Currently, Harry’s security in the UK is decided on a case-by-case basis. However, he’s appealing the decision and has insisted the safety of his family is at the heart of the case.
Amid his legal hearings, Prince Harry, 40, has flown to Ukraine to meet with war victims and veterans.

Why has Prince Harry gone to Ukraine?
According to Prince Harry’s spokesperson, he made the unannounced trip on Thursday as part of his work with wounded veterans.
Harry, who served in the Army himself for a decade, has always shown support for veterans. He launched his Invictus Games in 2014 to support “wounded, injured and sick armed forces personnel, serving or veteran”.
Whilst in Ukraine this week, the Duke of Sussex visited the Superhumans Center. It’s an orthopedic clinic in Lviv and treats and rehabilitates wounded army personnel and civilians amid the ongoing war.
Co-founder of the Superhumans Center, Andrey Stavnitser, shared some details on the royal’s visit on social media.

He wrote: “A member of the British royal family visited Ukraine for the first time since the start of the full-scale war — and he came to us at @superhumans.center! The visit was not announced until the team left.
“@princeharryofengland founded @weareinvictusgames in 2014 — a sports competition for injured veterans.
“Harry served in the army, and was in Afghanistan twice. Thanks to the media weight of his voice, the prince does a lot for veterans around the world.”
He really is as dumb as a rock.
Prince Harry reportedly said during the visit: “To come here to the Superhumans centre and see the incredible, amazing rehabilitation and care that is provided here under one purpose roof is just mind-blowing.”
However, amid his legal battle over security, Piers Morgan has hit out at the royal. Piers is no stranger to criticising both Harry and his wife Meghan Markle.
Taking to X, Piers wrote: “So, Hypocrite Harry flies straight from a British court where he is suing for more protection in UK because it’s too dangerous for him… to a warzone in Ukraine. He really is as dumb as a rock.”
Royal Insider has contacted reps for Harry for comment.

Why did Prince Harry lose his security?
When he stepped back from being a working royal in early 2020 with wife Meghan, he lost his right to high-level police protection whilst in Britain.
The couple currently live in California with their two children.
Moving away from royal duties meant Harry would no longer have blanket personal protection, provided by British police.
The decision ruled that security would be surveyed on a bespoke, case-by-case basis. However, Harry wasn’t satisfied with the decision.
He argued that his children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, cannot “feel at home” or “safe” in the UK unless police protection is put in place.
This week, his lawyer Shaheed Fatima said in court: “One mustn’t forget the human dimension to this case. There is a person sitting behind me whose safety, whose security and whose life is at stake.
“There’s a person sitting behind me who’s been told he’s getting a special bespoke process when he knows and has experienced a process that is manifestly inferior.”
Prince Harry’s Ukraine visit may anger President Trump
Elsewhere, Harry may also be at risk of upsetting US president, Donald Trump.
Harry’s visit to Ukraine comes amid the United States attempting to broker a peace deal between Russia and Ukraine.
Although, that hasn’t exactly been going smoothly…

Last month, Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky and President Trump went viral on social media after they became embroiled in an unprecedented verbal clash, including Trump and his vice president JD Vance in the White House’s Oval Office.
Trump has previously criticised Harry, especially regarding the row over his US visa, so his recent display of support for Ukraine may have rubbed him the wrong way.
Veteran royal commentator Richard Palmer told GB News: “I’m sure it will not go down with some in the Trump camp. It is a public show of support for Zelensky and Ukraine. So that may make life a little less comfortable for him in the US when he gets back.”
