Meghan Markle is believed to have extended a personal olive branch to King Charles by sending a private note and a box of artisanal products from her new lifestyle brand As Ever.

Royal insiders claim that this gesture could be a step towards rebuilding fractured family ties.

According to royal correspondent Neil Sean, a “very well-placed source” claimed that a “sample box of delights” – including handmade jams, honey, crêpe mix, and other curated items – was delivered to Clarence House, the king’s London residence, along with a handwritten note from Meghan.

“This was a gifted idea from… the Duchess of Sussex,” Neil told Fox News Digital.  “[She holds the king] in such high regard.”

Royal commentator Ian Pelham Turner described the gesture as Meghan‘s way of “showing compassion”.

“I understand how she may not feel respected still. But tiny gestures like this are her way of showing compassion for what the king is going through and helping to rebuild bridges between Prince William, Prince Harry, and the king,” Ian said.

King Charles, 76, was diagnosed with an undisclosed form of cancer in February 2024. He has since resumed public duties following treatment, including a recent state visit to Italy.

King Charles will be relieved that his daughter-in-law is trying to keep the wolves from the door.

The possible delivery comes at a delicate moment.

Prince Harry recently returned to London for a court hearing over the downgrade of his taxpayer-funded police protection when he’s in the UK. However, he did not meet with the king during the visit.

Reports indicate the monarch and Queen Camilla had departed for Italy just hours after Harry’s arrival.

“King Charles will be relieved that his daughter-in-law is trying to keep the wolves from the door,” said royal broadcaster Helena Chard. “However, this will be a fleeting thought as it’s business as usual for the king.”

Meghan’s brand As Ever launched its first products to the public in April and sold out in under an hour.

Among those receiving promotional gift boxes were Kris Jenner and Zoe Saldaña. Both stars shared the deliveries on social media. The duchess reportedly included handwritten notes with each box.

Prince Harry and Meghan’s departure from royal life in 2020 and their subsequent media interviews – including their 2021 Oprah Winfrey special, their 2022 Netflix docuseries, and Harry’s 2023 memoir Spare – caused lasting damage to their relationship with the monarchy.

Despite a brief reunion between father and son following Charles’ cancer diagnosis, communication between Harry and his family has since reportedly broken down.

Reports have stated that the king no longer takes his son’s calls. Prince William has also reportedly not responded to texts or messages.

King Charles once shared a touching moment with Meghan when he walked her down the aisle at her 2018 wedding. Meghan’s father, Thomas Markle, was unable to attend.

Though their bond has since become strained, some believe the duchess’ gift is a nod to that history.

Whether the king will respond – or whether this truly marks the beginning of renewed dialogue – remains to be seen.
