Meghan Markle ‘dealt podcast snub’ by Beyoncé and Taylor Swift
According to reports, Meghan has been left “unhappy” that she hasn’t been able to land an A-list celeb for her new podcast.
So far, the duchess has spoken to the creator of dating app Bumble, the founder of non-profit organisation Girls Who Code, and entrepreneur Kadi Lee.
However, the duchess is reportedly keen to have the likes of Beyoncé and Taylor Swift on her show.
“No one’s picking up the phone,” a source alleged to the MailOnline.
This is a show crying out for relevance, and it’s just not landing.
“There’s no Taylor Swift. No Beyoncé. Not even a Hailey Bieber. And when you’re pitching female empowerment, that’s a problem. It speaks volumes for her pulling power. She’s not happy about her lack of appeal,” they added.
A source close to the production claims Meghan and her team have “dialled all the big names”. However, none seem to be biting.
The insider said: “This is a show crying out for relevance, and it’s just not landing.”
Royal Insider has contacted Meghan’s representatives for comment.

Is Meghan Markle still friends with Beyoncé?
Yes, Meghan and Beyoncé still seem to be friends. Their blossoming friendship has developed a lot over the years.
When Meghan announced her pregnancy with son Archie, Beyoncé heaped praise on her with a sweet post on Instagram.
“In honour of Black History Month, we bow down to one of our Melanated Monas. Congrats on your pregnancy! We wish you so much joy,” she wrote.
During a meeting at the premiere of The Lion King in 2019, Beyoncé could be heard telling Harry and Meghan: “We love you guys.”
In 2022, during their Netflix docuseries, Meghan revealed that Beyoncé had just texted her.
“Beyoncé just texted. I still can’t believe she knows who I am,” she said.
“She said that she wants me to feel safe and protected, she admires and respects my bravery, and she thinks I was selected to break generational curses that need to be healed,” she then revealed.
Why did Archetypes get cancelled?
No official reason was given for the cancellation of Meghan’s first podcast Archetypes, which ran for 12 episodes in 2022.
In 2023, Spotify and Archewell announced that they would be parting ways, but were proud of the work they’d done together.
However, Spotify chief executive Bill Simmons branded Harry and Meghan “grifters” in his podcast not long after…

Meghan Markle’s cancelled Netflix show Pearl
The news about her podcast comes not long after Meghan was hit with allegations of “plagiarism”.
Back in 2021, it was announced that Meghan and Archewell were developing an animated kids’ show for Netflix.
The show, titled Pearl, focused on a 12-year-old girl’s “heroic adventure as she learns to step into her power and finds inspiration from influential women throughout history”.
However, the proposed show was cancelled in 2022.
Now, British author Mel Elliott is claiming Meghan’s show had similarities “too great for me to ignore” to her own book series, Pearl Power.
Speaking to the MailOnline, she said: “Meghan is a feminist who sticks up for other women, so I was disappointed and confused to see how similar Netflix’s proposed show Pearl was to my own Pearl Power, who had been created seven years earlier. Of course, I can’t know if anyone on her team had seen it and been inspired by it, but the similarities were too great for me to ignore.”
