Kate Middleton has sweet birthday cake tradition for her children

Back in 2019, Kate appeared alongside British chef and baker Mary Berry in her programme, A Berry Royal Christmas.

During the show, Kate revealed that she stays up until midnight the night before her kids’ birthdays to bake them a cake.

“I love making the cake,” she said.

“It’s become a bit of a tradition that I stay up ’til midnight with ridiculous amounts of cake mix and icing, and I make far too much. But I love it,” Kate added.

Does Kate Middleton bake midnight cakes for Prince Louis and his siblings’ birthdays?

Yes, Kate certainly has done in the past, though she hasn’t revealed whether she’s kept the tradition alive in the six years since she made the confession.

Prince Louis celebrates his seventh birthday with a new photo

Today marks Prince Louis’ seventh birthday.

To celebrate the big day, the official Prince and Princess of Wales’ Instagram account uploaded a new photo of the young royal.

In the photo, Louis can be seen sitting on a log whilst on a walk outside. Louis is smiling whilst wearing a green jumper, a white collared shirt and blue jeans.

Sweetly, he’s missing some of his front teeth in the picture.

“Wishing Prince Louis a very Happy 7th Birthday!” reads the caption of the adorable post. The account has also tagged the photographer, Josh Shinner.

Shinner is the photographer behind the Waleses’ 2023 Christmas card. The card showed the family all wearing white shirts and dark trousers, as they smiled on a white background.

Prince Louis set for big school perk now he’s seven

Now that Prince Louis is seven years old, he is eligible to take advantage of a big school perk, which Prince George and Princess Charlotte have been allowed to make use of for a while now.

Louis, who attends Lambrook School with his siblings, is a day pupil.

However, the school does offer the option of “flexi-boarding” for pupils. This means that on occasion, they can stay over at the school. So, if any of Louis’ schoolmates are boarding at the school and he wants to have a sleepover with them, he can.
