Piers Morgan responds to Meghan Markle's 'brutal blow' following her As Ever gesture
Piers and Meghan have some history...Meghan Markle and Piers Morgan certainly have history and her latest move has sparked speculation she’s reignited their apparent feud.
TV presenter Piers has been a long-time critic of Meghan and Prince Harry. Following Meghan and Harry’s bombshell Oprah interview in 2021, Piers lashed out at the couple. It resulted in him stepping away from his job as a host on Good Morning Britain following thousands of complaints over his comments.
At the time, Piers said he didn’t believe Meghan in the interview. The duchess had opened up about having suicidal thoughts during her time as a working royal, and therefore, many viewers complained to UK TV watchdog Ofcom.
Despite once being friends with Meghan before she met Harry, Piers, 60, now rarely has any nice words for the duke and duchess. Recently, Meghan made a move that has been seen as a silent swipe at Piers amid her brand launch.

The Duchess of Sussex, 43, recently launched her new lifestyle brand, As Ever. She unveiled a string of products including raspberry jam, crepe and cookie mixes, flower sprinkles and herbal teas.
As part of the launch, Meghan sent out PR packages to some famous faces. One person who received a package was TV meteorologist Alex Beresford.
But there’s history between Alex and Piers. They had clashed over Meghan and Harry’s Oprah comments on Good Morning Britain, shortly before Piers’ exit. Alex was a firm supporter of the duchess.

During the now infamous row, Alex told Piers: “I understand that you don’t like Meghan Markle. You’ve made it so clear a number of times on this show.
“I understand that you have a personal relationship with Meghan Markle, or had one, and she cut you off. She’s entitled to cut you off if she wants to.
Oh no… how will I ever survive this brutal blow?
“Has she said anything about you since she cut you off? I don’t think she has, yet you continue to trash her…”
Piers then cut in and walked off set live on air. He said: “I’m done with this.”
Alex Beresford thanks Meghan Markle for As Ever package
It seems Meghan still appreciates Alex’s support for her those years ago.
Alex took to his Instagram Stories this week to share a photo of Meghan‘s As Ever jam she had sent him.
He wrote: “Can’t wait to try this! Thank you so much @meghan.”

Meghan also sweetly gifted Alex’s newborn daughter a Jelly Cat octopus cuddly toy.
Piers has since responded to articles claiming Meghan took a swipe with her gesture to Alex. He wrote on X alongside laughing emojis: “Oh no… how will I ever survive this brutal blow?”
